Our society was built upon the rugged shoulders and stubborn personalities of farmers from around the world. So, it only makes sense that we celebrate their contributions and all that they have provided (and indeed continue to provide) us. Farmers have sustained huge losses the past year. We have to support our farmers however possible.

I’ve never had a cat that fluffy but you must have been so scared. Wow ?

My beloved Steelers beat Philly!! I was not happy that they gave up 15 points and almost lost! Oh JJ! It was a good game with the Giants and a loss by a field goal. 😥

I went to work for a few hours. We reached our goal for the area census, Yeah! Guess I’ll be unemployed soon.

    Enjoy yourself ~

Get snoutta here and vegan kills
Our KZ has farm kittehs and doggies too!
PG, can you collecty unemployement insurance when census job ends? Here I believe that you can, depending on how long you worked. Or purrhaps some other job will come along, since you’ve proven yourself willing to work xtra and are naturally brilliant – if this is what you want, that is.
I’m lucky that the cultural org for whom I do vol and at times paid work has set up a podcast ea month with a budget! Very nice for moi and fun to work on. Seems that lots of places have had to re-think their mode of doing things.
And with all that’s shut down I’m very happy that one can reserve and p/u library books! Efurrything is done oline and one gets an email p/u msg. One can be in/out in minutes! I now have 9 books out and 4 on reserve – plus I can renew them.

Yes, Mr. KZ and I would be considered “old” farmers! 😆 And our cats are farm cats and doggie too! He is off taking the grain truck to town to unload soy beans early, so he can begin combining and have empty trucks. He will be finished soon with the beans and then corn harvest will begin–I think. He was saying that the corn seems a little green yet: which means that the dried up plant is still not dried down enough to pass safely through the combine. It shreds the plant and spits it out the back of the combine while stripping the ears of corn and depositing the kernels in the tank. If the plant itself isn’t dried down enough it balls up and tangles in the inner workings of the combine and breaking things that you don’t want broken!

I would be happy if my outside cat Harvest would be me a leaf…many mornings there is a baby mouse or big mouse or rat or bird……

It’s Time for Moanday in TDK Land!
Straight from this year’s Old Farmer Almanac:
    Map
    Lalalala..it’s that Winter ~ Winter Weather… 😉
Can’t Control the Weather – but, be ready!
    (from Tree Hugger) 😉
Rising temperature trends mean that overall the winter won’t be extremely cold, say the forecasters at the Old Farmer’s Almanac. They predict a light winter for most of the U.S. with warmer-than-normal temperatures for a large part of the country. They expect things to be “not so cold, not too wet” in most of the South and even “gorgeous” in Florida. Only the western U.S. and New England will have unusually cold temperatures.

As far as rain and snow, “expect ‘wet’ to be a wintertime constant, with rain or average to below-average snowfall to be the standard throughout most of the country,” the almanac forecasters predict.

The Northeast, Wisconsin, Upper Michigan, the High Plains, and Northern Alaska will be the only spots with more snowfall than normal. Everywhere else should have below normal snowfall.

Don’t know what our n’bors to North will have…probably similar to Northeast…
Just must be patient to see if Ol’ Man Winter Survives this Year’s #CovidChallenge 😀
Feels more like Fall today ~ should rain a bit too!
    Squirrell sippin brew

KZ, when I thought of you- “old” did not come into the picture! It is interesting and enlightening to see the amount of work invilved for noms to arrive at my supermarket.

Wheeled home heavy stuff today. With power cut elevator will no be working tomorrow for a bit and want to ensure that I don’t need it.

Time of yr but suddenly it’s srsly dark – and looks like it might rain. And rain, lots of it tomorrow. Which of course is when I have relatively longer walk to appt for blood test in p.m. 🙄 Hopefully potassium is up to snuff – those huge pills are manageable but not fun, but way better than Plan B which is an IV, which is a horror and time-consuming.

When I’m off-line in a.m. plan to listen to transistor, knit and/or work out how to resize a pattern for a kindle holder into one sized for an iPad tablet. Calculator and graph paper will be req’d. I’m making this as an in-between project for someone who will truly apurreciate it.
