“Is it true blondes have more fun?” When it comes to Blonde Brownies light brown sugar is used instead of dark brown chocolate. It’s our right and responsibility to bake and eat them. Or buy and eat them. Nuts and frosting optional. “Other” ingredients, hmmm …

Come July 1st here in Canada! 😉

Brownies, eh? They are good with coffee. Dude, I found your brownies! ROTFLOL
I hate when it’s so hot you can’t sleep, MS. Maybe you should put up a hammock in the yard and join HRH.

We got a bit more snow so all together, we have 7″ at my place. At least, I won’t have to water for a few days. 😆

    Have a happy~

Oh what a great topic…brownies. We have been having great food topics for a few days…cheese, popcorn, brownies!! Yummm!

Yes, it’s balmy here today too, 56 degrees predicted. Most of the snow is gone, now we have mud and cow poop. Lots of both. But I’m not complaining. I put a couple of plants outside for them to breathe and watered them so the water was running out to flush out minerals. My fish pond is starting to melt yet again, can’t see the fish yet. Just hope they are all okay. I don’t know how fish stay alive in the winter..it’s a mystery to me.

I had to let the woodburner die down and not put wood in it this morning. I woke up in the night sweating to death, I felt like MS!! Hope it cools off for you MS!

I might just have to bake some brownies today…and they ARE good with coffee!!

Yes, brownies scarcely rise if at all; they are actually one of the easier things for gluten-free bakers to do successfully. I dislike the gluten-free fad, but have a cousin with coeliac; she is very happy that gluten-free foods are more readily available.

My vices are savoury, and stronger stuff…

Hi all – wanna try my catnip brownies – heh!

I love brownies! Made a few batches and had more than a few over the holidays.

It’s a grey and mild day here in Jersey, with rain on the way tomorrow. The wood burner is going and I have a window open; the fresh air in the house feels nice. Hope things cool off for you soon, MS.

After our weekend snow storm, it’s 37f/2c with bunches of sunshine. The sidewalks are clear already. This pleases Miss Gaea even though she hasn’t ventured out yet.

You want to try my brownies? Come on, I know you do. 😉

What’s with the Burmese kits, Lagatta?

Brownies are great but I really crave a good devils food cake with chocolate butter cream frosting. 🙂

Lagatta, the Café being a free-for-all, feel free to post pics of Burmese kits or any other kits that you’d like. 🙂

I so want to try YOUR brownies PG hehehe, but as noted will have to hold myself back until Justin gets his act together re the weed.

LOL at “compost brownies” and I like gluten-full stuff. Although my local health food grocery does have some really great gluten-free and kosher brownies. Then there are “two bite brownies” found at most groceries, which take me way more than two bites to get through, although I have yet to count. 😉

I like the chewiness of brownies as opposed to cake.

As happens efurry so often I decided to do some cooking. Made 5 servings of tuna casserole, adjusting things somewhat as cnnot find kosher cream of mushroom canned soup. After all the effort (for me) hope they come out OK as they are going straigh into freezer. Gave me the opp to use my d/w too as there were way to many dishes to wash by hand.

Looks like we’re in the midst of a snowstorm, which is supposedly going to turn to freezing rain when temps rise. I so hope that we are spared the horrors of black ice!!!!! 😮

For now my latest yarn order arrived and IMHO it will make a lovely cable sweater. Shade is “Chameleon.” It will go well with gray and with brown and green is my colour what with my “cat” eyes that match Dorry’s. 🙂

Burmese cats – simply because they are chocolate brown!

I utterly love the colours in that yarn.

Fortunately I ran some errands nearby, and with luck don’t have to set foot or paw outside. Just praying that there won’t be a power outage, as I have a lot of (professional) work to get done.

KJ, that’s beautiful yarn! The colors in that would go with just about everything!

OK, I MADE BROWNIES!! A double batch even! Mr.KZ went to the basement as he was going to try and take one, but they just came out of the oven and were too hot. He said he never heard of such a thing….. 🙄

Your yarn is gorgeous! How come we don’t see the finished sweaters?

There is no such a thing as too hot brownies. You know two bite brownies are excellent and don’t have any calories.

Today is also answer Your Cat’s Questions Day. Any queries?

Did you know not all Burmese are chocolate brown?

    Hey lady – Mwah!

Those two-bite brownies – I wonder if they did rsch to see how many bites it took, like for me it’s at least 8-10 bites each, not that I’ve counted.

Speaking of which, I once heard that peeps who worked at famous candy shoppe “Laura Secord” were told that they could eat as many chocolates as they desired. Generally they gorged for 1st wk on job then never wanted another chocolate again for the rest of their career. 🙄

That wee gray-ish Burmese kit in the centre of the clowder – want!!!!!

I would love to show (off) finished sweaters. Prob is that I can’t upload pics from my desktop. At least now, used to be pawsible, but site changed and anything that I upload has to be from I’Net. Might rsch if there’s a way of doing this. Any suggestions? Or I’ll PM you if you like. All 80+ pics of sweaters LOL. 😉

Lagatta, now I get the Burmese thing. Not sure what breed this kit is:

What would Dorry’s queries be? Boggles my mind!

It’s disastrous outside!!! Got my cleated boots ready and plan to “gird my loins” as I head out quite early in the am.

    Previous brownie thread.
Please someone else make them an let us know how they went.

Although I knew that not all Burmese were chocolate brown, the one my late Mum owned was a Brownie. He lived a long time. So did she. I was a late baby, she was 42 when I was born, and my Dad was older…

As stated in the OP, not all edible brownies are chocolate brown either.

Yes, the grey burmese would be a good solid colour pairing for Dorry.
