Where is that GD???? I have some questions for you. Probably running around dog sitting and working… LOL Hope you get some time off to relax.

I am making broth for the cats and they are going nuts…. I am cooking the turkey breast bone with carrots, celery and fresh parsley. Smells heavenly… Mmmm…. They aren’t spoiled or anything……. Just froze the turkey in little bags. Some for me and some for the kitties.

I keep finding those stink bugs in my house in random places. One was on the phone line when I answered the phone. Ewwww… They must come in through the bathroom fans. Annoying things….

My mom used to cook turkey legs and then make “soup” for the cats! They LOVED it

AWWWWW How sweet of your mom, MC. The dark meat is better for cats I read as it has the taurine in it. White meat does not. Never knew that! I try to read up on stuff so I know what to do, or how to do it. Cats are so appreciative of anything we do for them. 🙂 MC, what did you do/where did you go for Christmas?

LOL BB! She fell asleep! She works for Kohl’s and was at work at 330am on Christmas Eve and had to be back by 4am the day after Christmas. Christmas season runs her ragged!

    Yes, BB?

I’m busy indeed, dog-sitting as we speak. I have the dogs till Sunday night and my friend’s cat till Wednesday. I have been trying for two days to get my car to the mechanic, and havent been able to get it done. So, leaving work tonight, of course the car starts driving really badly. Pulled into a parking lot and turned it off for a while and was able to get it to the dog-sitting house. I don’t know if the mechanic is open tomorrow, but I sure hope so. The thing is, I’m never off and I really can’t work while the car is at the mechanic 🙁

New Year’s Eve celebrations in Wellington, Palmerston North and Mt Maunganui have been cancelled because of bad weather, however fireworks displays in Wellington and Auckland may still proceed.

New Year’s Eve celebration plans are dropping like flies with wet weather around the country forcing many organisers to cancel planned events.

Evening Deb, yes it’s a wet New Year’s Eve here. We have finally had a small patch without rain but not for long.

All fireworks and the outdoor celebrations at Mt Maunganui cancelled. We’re having a “dance party” tonight at Meegz. KK and I will be making KOTSW martinis to assist with the dancing. We have out 12 grapes ready for midnight too.

The weather has been simply atrocious in parts of the country and there are campers everywhere either toughing it out or packing up and heading home. Ahhhhh, the joys of camping, been there and done that. Spent many a holiday with water flowing through the tent and just hanging in there until the weather cleared. Fun!

Yep, we have rain today. Its actually cold. I dont mind at all. Sweltering heat & humidity doesnt do it for me.

MS, why does it have to be exactly 12 grapes??

I was over-joyed this morning to find Screech is still the only rat in casa del rat . . .

Ooh, that’s good news, Skyron. Let’s hope it continues that way. Sounds like one little Screecher is enough…

I think the twelve grapes has something to do with the 12 months of the coming year, it is a custom that I don’t know anything about but I think other TDKers know about and follow 🙂

How are you? I am just chilling out (literally, it is cold here) and debating whether or not to try doing any work. It’s just another day for me (though I did have a lovely night out with a friend last night, so I am not deprived!)

I’m doing good, thanks for asking. Yes, one Screech is enough. The cats were making plans for a small platter of cocktail hammies with cheese . . .

I would say you need to take the day off. Seeing that its new years day/eve/whatever, and its cold . . . There has to be a book you want to read lying around somewhere, right?

    Ewwwwwwwww, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

I don’t know what I want to do, that’s the trouble. I just finished the book I was reading avidly over Chrissy. I may even get on the exercycle. I have been pottering all day and now I have run out of potter.

Do you have any nice plans for New Year’s Eve?

Hiya Deb. I dont suppose you get to take crossword puzzles or something with you for when it gets boring at work?

Sorry I disappeared on you Jcat. I decided to reward Screecher for not having babies by going out and getting her an addition for her cage. She now has a look-out tower from which she can spy on the cats 🙂 Good luck with the exercycling. You’re a better woman than I am . . .

I’m focussing my energy on doing nothing at all today. I’m reading a book, lazing bed, annoying the cats . . . Nothing serious 🙂

Hello to all those that are so last year – snert LOL

Evening all, it’s a very hot muggy and foggy New Year here. We have all the doors and windows open, fans on and still it’s almost unbearable. We’ve been dancing, singing and playing cards all evening.
