It’s the purrfect day to curl up in the Café with a kitteh and a book. In the afternoon there’s storytime for the baby kittehs and purrhaps a catnap. But we must keep the noise to a minimum!

As it happens I have to go to n’hood library as a reserved book awaits me.

Mon got done what I set out to do. Then despite best intentions got caught up trying to decipher next knit pattern for a cable pillow – it’s going to be a challenge. And now it’s 10 pm – my bad!

Good morning – my favorite children’s book is A Cat Called Cindy. “Cindy was a cat. Not too skinny or too fat. Just a big black fuzzy furry cat.” I could go on, as I memorized it long ago!

Welp, the April Fools joke on the cats was quite amusing. Set four plates down, each topped with a catnip mouse. They looked at their plates, then at each other’s plates, then at me. Don’t worry, they didn’t starve! After giggling over my prank, they got their real breakfast.

A bit rainy this morning, might get a short walk in before the rain gets heavier and steadier. This weather makes the earth smell good!

chewed library books, sorry, it’s not a DIY book, I rulez it!

I love the April Fools trick, JJ!

Did you prank Miss Avery? She’s smart so that would require some thought.

    Thanks for the update, JK.

Yesterday, it was windy and cold and work was slow. Today, it’s windy and warmer. But now, mor coffee!

    Enjoy your day~

Yes, I did prank Avery. We went to the barn after school where mama kitty had 2 kittens last week. We thought she had to have more because she was so big. It took days, but we only found 2 and we put them in a soft, comfy bed for her to care for. I told her that I had found 4 more! When we went out to check on them, she said “but there aren’t any more kittens!”…I said, you mean she moved them?! No, there’s the 2 and then I said Oh APRIL FOOLS! She looked like she could choke me, but then she laughed…then she and her mother proceeded to pull the same prank on her Dad, who also fell for it.

The weather here is atrocious. Severe storms expected all day with tornadoes. The yard was flooded this morning when we got up and will be again with more heavy rains. A couple of weeks ago we had tornadoes ripping through here and demolished a town just north of us. Everyone is edgy as heck and poor Avery was here when it happened and we had to go to the basement. I reassured her that if it happens at school, they will take them to the lower level and everyone will be safe there. Spring weather here is extremely destructive–I swear I would rather have a blizzard!
