    Hello, TDK Family! It has probably been a long time since there has been a NS. Too long. Tonight we gather to remember one of our own from days past… Owlwatcher. So many of us remember her beautiful poems and stories.. she was a gifted writer. And those of us who are *old timers* here will remember that OW’s path here was not always easy. But, she had found such happiness and love with our own Tigger. May the knowing of that bring peace to Tigger in these hard days.

    So, OW… this is the NS to honor you. We are setting up the bar for a wake… not for a sad time. We are gathered reading, and remembering, all of the things that you have written and shared with us. There are martinis (of course my offering), champagne to celebrate your life, wines to toast with and tables of beautiful fruits, cheeses and artisan breads.

    Mostly, we are sharing. We are sharing your stories, your poems and your life that you shared with us.

    OW, you have left far too young. But we know that you left happy, wrapped in the loving arms of Tigger. He is inconsolable now but, in time, we all pray that he will feel your loving arms wrapped around him.

    TDK Family.. come gather for the NS to honor OW.

    She did, indeed Deb. Come on out TDKer’s. It is a sad time but a time for remembering and renewal. OW would love that.

    OOPS, tripped coming in the door!! But that’s me! Mama Lynn here, coming to the NS party to honor OW! Starting the barbeque out back, will someone please get me a gas grill, this charcoal thing is dust! Got the ribs, steaks, chicken, ok who brought the boneless breasts, they do not belong on a grill, where are the thighs and drums??!! Oh, potato salad in the fridge, coleslaw there too. What, who asked for pickles and olives? Oh the little grey tabby in the corner wants his olives. Ok, give me a minute. I see many friends in the room. I brought beer, everyone else is gathering around WWM’s martini’s!! It’s ok, time to celebrate life and friends. OOPs, ribs cooking too quick. Where’s the bbq sauce. Ok now we need to get this kitchen in order. Where’s CM, she is good at this. So many kitties hanging out in the nightshift palace comforting all of our friends who have gathered. Grey tabbies, yellow tabbies, calicos, all grey babies and where did the white ones come from?? Grab a cat, gently, grab a plate, have a refreshment and I will get the food from the grill. Sit, stay, enjoy, you are among friends.

    I want to make banana boats on the grill!! Nothing like a banana slit in the middle and stuffed with marshmallows and chocolate chips, all wrapped together and roasted. Dripping chocolate and gooey marshmallow with a scoop of banana is on my spoon aimed for my mouth!! I also brought a bottle of Irish Whiskey…the Irish Girl needs a drink to toast to a wonderful story teller. Think of the Theresa stories that OW wrote….know you are chuckling!

    A celebration for OWL! She barely knew me when she did me the honor of a message when my Jetta went to the Meadow. Thank you, Mary. I can imagine you smiling down on the party that is gathering in your honor and nodding approval that we should return to those glory days of TDK 🙂

    I’ve brought pretty sparklers – enough for everyone and all their kits! I’ve also brought some Moscato Sangria – sweet and fruity and not too much of a kick so we can imbibe and not get too silly! Of course, we can’t get folks away from WWM and the Martini bar!

    I have to try and get some sleep, but I know me and I’ll be back later and will re-join the fun!

    It’s been a very long time for me also….thanks WWM for letting me know of this very sad news. I remember OW fondly and her passionate love for animals rings crystal clear in my memory. I am glad that she had found joy in her life with Tigger. My deepest condolences Tigger….

    I loved the Theresa stories too. I wonder what happened to her.

    SM – I’ve never seen that recipe for banana boats. Lordy, that sounds good.

    I hope Owlwatcher is safe and happy. I suspect she is crossing the Meadow now with the Wolf at her side, rejoining her furbabies who have been waiting so patiently for her and maybe even scooping up a furbaby or two who has been waiting for someone to take them across the Bridge.

    I hope she realizes that Christopher’s heart will eventually sing with the love he knew with her and know he was lucky to know her for the time they shared.

    I knew we grieve because we were left behind this time, not because we resent that OW has moved on to another and gentler place.

    GD always takes my orangies when I’m on the grill. Shame on you. I forgot who told the Teresa stories and didn’t remember it was OW. Sorry, for that, but they were so funny! I couldn’t believe that this lady was really as screwy as she was. Made my day many times. Jetta, rest well, catch you later. Gd, hands of that little orangie behind the bar. WWM we are out of olives and Sm, banana boats always welcome on the grill, AFTER the ribs are done. I don’t think HM will like chocolate on her ribs!!

    It’s been a while for a lot if us, hasn’t it? Even when I’m not posting, I do still check into TDK every day. Such sad news today—my heart breaks for Tigger. . .

    I am here!!! Where are the pina coladas? OW we will miss you and your writings, but we were lucky to know you and wish you godspeed. Tigger we are here for you and will be here for you.

    Ribs…did someone say ribs…Oh I am all over them…oops…can I have a wetnap?
