Dorie, would love to meet you too and all who may be in my area. KW thank you. I was a very selfish person, and I still am to a point, I’d be crazy not to admit that. But the joy, I see on 2 twins in Terri’s area that we send stuffed animals to, You get them at Kohl’s $5 all donated to charity, they light up and just can’t imagine that someone from somewhere else cares about them. I wasn’t a rich kid growing up and am not to this day, but I can do without if it means helping an animal or a human who needs it.

Everyone have a good night, looks to be a short one. Sleep well and I wish all of you a good week. If not, I know I will be hearing about it, probably starting with me after Kay goes in and rips HR about the $160 she put out in meds and having no insurance! Oh, Lynn needs to get prepared! Hugs and purrs.

Lynn, just read the above post about growing veggies in pots and giving it away. I love to give things away and share with others. Always have.. caused big problems with the ex… In our other house, we had neighbors.. Pop pop we called him, my daughter loved him! and his wife. He was so dear to us, gave my baby $ so we could go to a fair or to buy Chinese food. I would make homemade bread (old fashioned way) and bring warm loaves over to him. You would think I gave him a million bucks! He would drive out of him driveway and we would wave to him out our big window. When we weren’t there, the cats were there looking at him. He just thought this was great! I made lentil soup and he said it is as good as his moms from years ago. My heart just swells with happiness to know we made him happy. He died of cancer and I saw him at the hospital a week or so before he dies. We were so blessed to know him. What a gift to us.

D**m had to sign in again, maybe site getting too busy?? KW, Will send your best wishes to Kay. Thanks you too, Bumblebee, will send the well wishes along. I know what you mean about about neighbors, have some elderly ones around me and have taken care of them too. Breaks your heart when they leave this world, but you know in your heart you made a difference, no matter how small it seemed to have been to you. Kay will be back somewhere along the line, don’t know when but will send the well wishes to her. Thanks. Gotta run, way past my bedtime, but I do have a little more movement with football season under way! Still gets ticked at me when I don’t get up as soon as I should, but is a good football “wife”! Later, Hugs purrs and much love from the house, Lynn and Kay, see you all tomorrow! Have a good one!

M&M’s Mom…I know it’s late where you are & you’ve probably gone to bed already, but wanted to comment on the movie “Somewhere in Time”. I feel the same way you & your mom do. I’ve seen it several times. I can’t believe that before now, I didn’t know a soul who’d heard of the movie, let alone seen it. Didn’t know they filmed it in Michigan either. I’m always learning something new on this site. The four of us kids were always fighting over who would get the spoon, beaters,or bowl. I grew up eating everything & anything that had eggs in it. When I hit my early 20’s I developed allergies to eggs. I still eat them from time to time, but, pay a major price for it. That’s why I can’t take flu shots each year. I’ve had to work hard not to get sick w/it.My last flu bout I was in bed for a week & a half. No help from the man/friend & only 1 cat(Dweeb) at the time to cuddle w/me. He passed over the Rainbow Bridge 10 yrs. ago.

BTW…Knock-em dead tomorrow at the job interview.

finally have the time to read the threads of the day, while watching http://www.wavelit.com/index.asp?ch=Wildlife&sh=africam and seeing the giraffe(s) at the watering hole..

Lynn, glad that Kay came on-line, welcome Kay ;P

Well back to work, someone has to sludge thru it to make the world safe…lol

Avid coupon clipper here also, my kids used to hate going with me to the commissary and/or local grocery stores. Now I get the extras and give them to the shelters when I can, just glad that I can do so now. I also share my coupons with co-workers, because I don’t use them all and most of them don’t buy the Sunday papers.

M&M’smom, good luck on the interview tomorrow and I also love the movie, ‘Somewhere in Time’. Yes, I admit it, I am a hopeless romantic!

For all of you who like to help out others locally, try the site Freecycle.org. This is a site where you post items you may not need any longer, that are still usable and local people will come and get them. It started out as a way to reduce the amount of stuff going into landfills (I vote for that too!) but has kind of turned into a helping hands kind of thing, at least in my area. I love the fact that you don’t have to cart stuff all over the place to be helpful and that you can actually meet the people who are needing what you have to offer.

Shelley, http://www.freecycle.org is a good website, the only bad thing that I found with it was all the extra emails that I got after joining. Its amazing though what people trade, give away, etc..
