Thank you all. WWM she is keeping me–she will do my treatments, but I still have to have the nephrologist on board. She is building a team–seems to be the norm for lupus. She has told me to slow down–like I could keep up this pace muh longer. I was in bed at 8–didn’t put the computer down until I finished grading papers, but I was in bed–its a start!

I can sing a lullaby Deb–but I fear it is something not appreciated by all! The first thing the dotor has done for me is to put me on a schedule–I felt like a 3 year old and was very resistant–hard to imagine that! When I had a husband breathing down my neck I have, since I finished testing cut loose a bunch of hours. The past week was h*ll beause I was fighting this thing tooth and nail–but today for the first time in months I think I feel better. I don’t see an end–but I see a way to cope. I wish more than anything everyone on TDK that has chronic issues could find an answer that would work for them. I keep praying for no pain for the many that suffer it and an answer to the problem. I think, even though it is a thought that came late in life, that sometimes there are not answers and that makes it all the worse as far as I am concerned.

Here is a glass raised–it is Vitamin Water because that is all I can have now–to no more pain and clear answers!

Soxsmom, may you find more ways to cope, to no more pain and good doctors on your team for good health care. I get ya on the schedule thing, I would be kicking and screaming the whole way too up to the point of realizing, *hey this might be working*…..not even stubborn, nope, no way, no how! Thanks for the offer of singing a lullaby 😛

When they confirmed Lupus I have to say my first thought was “I’m a dog?” I was thinking werewolf–mind must have taken a wrong turn. Now that I am learning more it doesn’t seem so bad. I find it hilarious that my own body is trying to attack itself! Told my husband I felt like a bad DC comic book character Two-Face–my body is of two minds! Having an answer has helped with perspective. No cure kinda bothered me–but it seems most illnesses don’t have cures. So I am now on board and a willing camper–don’t know that will always be the case–I have a stubborn streak. But the day I collapsed told me I had to listen. I can not be Wonder Woman anymore–gonna miss that lasso!!

Thanks–I still like the irony that my own immune system is out to kill me!! Humor will see anyone through trials!
