TGIF is all I can say! Hope all is well wherever you hang your hat. Today the kits are taking the morning off and they have brought in Panera yummies. There are bagels, pasteries, different breakfast sammies, yogurt parfaits, coffee, cappicino, teas, smoothies, sodas, milk, juice, water.

Stay safe if you are in the path of the US East Coast Blizzard. Here they say “Do NOT get on the roads UNLESS you are police, fire or work at one of the major hospitals. Be prepared to be pulled over and to show your ID badge” Yay. Makes me wonder if any of my patients will be in today.

Does anyone have any big plans for the weekend? Mardi Gras? I don’t, cause I don’t have money!

    Have a GREAT DAY!

Hi MC – stay safe. You can take the wormhole here – no money needed to hang out and play board games! No big plans for the weekend here, except for shoveling out when the storm is over. This better not be another Sandy.

Good morning!! It’s about 25 degrees here right now. I just took the garbage up and fed the birdies. 🙂

I had two cats in my yard. The next door neighbor’s cute little female, Mia was chasing another dk. grey fluffy cat around everywhere! When I drove up the hill with the bags, I interrupted the chase and he got away. LOL Also, saw Mr. handsome Pileated way up high chopping holes in a tree.:)

The dnow is coming down just a little right now.

Hi Commune – you need those glasses that have open eyes over them, then you can snooze away at those boring meetings!

BB, it’s coming. It’s coming down sideways and steady now. They say this is nothing compared to later on this afternoon. I should be heading back up the mountain early this afternoon.

Took my chances and filled the bird feeder yesterday. The deer have been at it but there’s been nothing for them for a few weeks, so hopefully they will leave it alone long enough for the birds (& squirrels!) to get a meal.

Tommy came by last night, thankfully, and he got a full packet of wet food plus crunchies plus treats. I wanted to fill up his tummy because I know he will hunker down somewhere till after the storm.

Glad Tommy has you Joan. A full tummy thru the storm will help a lot.

Commune, I fell asleep once during a lecture in class…only problem was, I was doing the lecturing.

Best wishes for all those hunkering down with this storm. I wouldn’t want to be in Boston right now. Always thought that would be a big city I could exist in.

Morning, all. Sloppy mess in the Big Apple this morning, and it’s only going to get worse 🙁

PJ, Boston is a great city. I went to college close enough that we could go to Boston on day trips. There’s even an ice cream place called Brigham’s (which is my maiden name); I used to try to get free ice cream but it never worked.

Paw up waves from pretty newly snow clad Brewtown. Yay, it has stopped & now a pt sunny AM but only +24. Shoveled for kits/birds, mailman this AM. Little Otto showed up this AM for his noms, yay! Put alot out yest eve & saw black cat as I was shoveling. Hoping Gabby got some noms too. Bird feeders are presently filled too. The side streets are still 1/2 plowed in my ‘hood. Walk to work/back today w/more snow kp when I get home from nite’s fall. Sipping Tiramisu, yum grabbing a choco chip bagel & back I go! Waves with wishes for all to stay safe & warm indoors on Northern side & keep cool on Souther side!

Haha funny comment on glasses Joan…Agree, Commune…have some fun in next meeting!

Hope everyone in the areas with ice and and nor’easter snows stay safe, keep your power, and that all stays well for you.

We lived near the North Shore area of New Jersey during the blizzrd of 1978. That one was actually a series of heavy snow storms over two weeks, culminating in the final HUGE storm. I shoveled more snow in 10 days than I have the entire rest of my life, including the record blizzard of 1982 here in St. Louis. To hear the weather forecasts that the Northeast is going to be hammered as badly or worse than in 1978 is chilling (no pun intended), especially given how many people still don’t have secure homes after hurricane Sandy.

Yesterday was non-stop light rain, often not much more than drizzle, here. When I was in the store late afternoon, some woman ahead of me in the checkout line, a total stranger, was carping about the rain. She turned and insisted on knowing how awful I thought it was. Sorry, but we are still in a drought deficit here with water wells gone dry that supply water to some towns and the rivers at record low levels. If we don’t get rain LOTS of rain in the next few months we will be critically short of drinking water this summer. I managed to keep it polite but when she pushed for an answer I told her just that. Here we are dangerously short of water, other areas are about to be plastered with a blizzard, and she is complaining about some drizzle that didn’t even need an umbrella. *rolls eyes*

Agree Marnet, some peeps need to chill out & look on bright side. Can’t imagine how draining being grumpy can wear on your daily life!

I think pets help us remain positive & purry even on bleak days.

BTW fave goldie gog Brutie is visiting office today as furry fun on a Friday!

I remember the blizzard of ’78. Someone took a picture of me clearing off the ’72 Duster.

Marnet, I hope you get lots of rain soon. Good for you for keeping it polite!

Lucky you, JK – having a furry goggie with you today!

Yikes, Gini! Stay inside and snuggle with the cats (and Mike) 🙂 They’re talking about 2 feet here, which is bad enough. I don’t really remember the ’78 storm, although I assume we got a snow day(s).

Marnet, I’ll bet you were more polite than I would have been, sheesh. Some people can’t see past their own noses.

Enjoy your goggie fun today, JK!

Wonderful story about a therapy pup (a Golden!) who needed a little help herself. She’s 87 bazillion percent adorable, so be warned, COA Alert!

Those in the path of the storm – stay safe ! Sending positve energies wrapped in warmth to all.

No big plans this weekend MC… other than continuing to chip away at the thinset/mortar left behind when I removed tiles. Getting ready for new tile. Oh, and seeing a new hairdressor to have some fun covering the ‘platinum’ hairs. 😉

Ugh, dumb ‘puter…link won’t open Kilroy! Will try again later!

Hi 2Pop, great progress on tile project. Have fun at hair salon! I’m getting a trim on Monday too!

Now another cuppa joe & back to more Friday fun!
