    Hey!

So this morning I noticed a small bump by my cat’s ear that I’m pretty sure wasn’t there before. It looks similar to a pimple, and I believe is slightly pinker than her usual skin color, its hard to tell because its really close to the same color and she’s a black cat. I tried to take a picture of it before I went to work, but she was too playful this morning to sit still! I of course will be monitoring it to see if it gets any bigger or anymore pop up. She seems fine, playful, eats, and cleans herself regularly. But in the mean time, since everyone here has been so helpful in the past, I was just curious if anyone had an idea of what it could be? And if I should be worried…or take her to see a vet about it. Maybe it was there before and I just didn’t notice it, but I just want to see if anyone had any insight.

    Thanks in advance!

    Steven

Is it hard? soft feeling? If you gently press it does she seem in pain?

    Hi,

Its kind of inbetween, I’ll double check when I go home, it reminded me of a pimple. She doesn’t seem in pain, but she moves away when I try and touch it, but she kinda always moves away when I inspect her ears….

I should also clarify, it feels like a pimple that’s not quite ready to pop

It is most likely a tick

    Hi, everyone,

Thanks for all your input. the bump looks like it’s part of the ear actually. It’s definitely paler than the picture of the tick, and not crusty around it. She doesn’t seem to mind when i touch or rub it. So now I am thinking that I just have not noticed it before…I will of course be monitoring and update if I notice any growth or more bumps pop up.
