Welcome to Sunday!

Who welcomes you to the restaurant, brings your drinks, serves your meal and does it all with a smile even when you leave a measly tip? That’s right! Your waitstaff. Today we celebrate the challenges waitstaff deal with and to say thank you. I’m sure we all know who the wait staff is for our kits…

Now that the sunshine is back and no freeze warnings, I’m going to plant my roses. It appears my lilac bushes and Columbine have survived. I won’t know for another few weeks though.

We finally saw “Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol.2.” It was a fun movie.

It’s Sunday evening here and bitterly cold. Woke this morning to one of the hardest frosts I have seen during Autumn. Frosted lawns and iced over decks that were treacherous to walk on. A layer of ice on the glass outside table and the bird baths were frozen over. The day that followed was gloriously sunny and warm as long as you kept out of the bitter wind. This weather has come straight up from Antarctica, brrrr. This evening is even chillier than last night. HRH has reacquainted herself with the beanbag in front of the fire and is a happy cat. 🙂

Happy Sunday morning everyone! I have been MIA with everything going on this weekend…my my mani and pedi surely ROCKS!!! I made an appointment mid June for another one, great job and service, dau and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

We celebrated our anniversary last night by visiting an Italian restaurant a few miles away from here. We had wonderful waitstaff who really knew what they were doing! They could bus a table faster than anything I have ever seen. Friendly, caring service with never one second of irritation. We tip accordingly!!

Happy Anniversary, KZ! Italian is the perfect date night food, IMO. Loved the pic of Peso PG posted (try saying that three times fast). I didn’t realize what a tiny little thing he is….awww!

I’ve been doing my waitstaff duties. Last night the raccoons found our bird feeder at our new house for the first time (they were regular visitors at our old yard). So today I went to the birdfeeding store and bought the super duper raccoon baffle that goes with the pole we use. I installed it then cleaned the birdbath and freshened up the food….pretty good service, I hope.

Monday morning they come back for more kitchen work. Fingers crossed that they keep making good progress each day. In laws are coming to visit next weekend, I think, for younger son’s birthday (which is Memorial Day this year). It will be the first time they’ve seen the new house.

Hi all – I’ve got some catching up to do here at TDK. Jroc is at the airport getting ready to head home. I just got home and must settle into some housekeeping. All I’ve done all week is sleep, shower and care for the kitties!
