Karin, was that you who called me the other day? Did you find what you needed? I was very distracted at the time, sorry if I sounded crazy.

Yes, that was me. No worries. I was trying to get Susie’s last name to send her something and for some reason I couldn’t remember it. I had to go home to remember. Brain isn’t working like it use to.

Mine isn’t working either. I wasn’t in TDK mode, I was in Realtor mode. LOL If you had called me while I was in my house and had just been on TDK, I would have been more helpful. 🙂

Help!!!!!!!!! I’ve got the kittens in a cage outside. I have the trap attached to the opening of the cage. Siameezer hasn’t figured out where they are quite yet. Problem is,I ran out of time & light. Because of the raccoons I had to shut the cage door down so & tie it closed so the coons can’t get to them & hurt them. The trap is set to go still if Siameezer should go in but I’ll have to open the door for her to enter. It’s freezing cold out there even with a blankie over it. They’re screaming hungry. Of she doesn’t go into the trap soon,I’m going to have to bring them inside.

I’ve never fostered kittens this young (3 wks.old). I’m not sure howoften to feed them. Thank goodness I still have some KMR powdered milk dor them but will have to feed them w/an eye dropper because I don’t have a nursing bottle for them. I was hoping that by now I would have mommy & babies reunited at this point & wouldn’t have to take care of the feeding or the toiletry wiping if you what I mean. Specially since there are 5 of them.

Does anyone know how often at three weeks old that they should be fed?

I’ve done a little looking online. It looks like every four hours at three weeks old. I’ll keep looking and post a link for you.

This website says every three to five hours. Important to keep them warm and when using a dropper be careful not to squirt so forcefully that it is aspirated into their lungs. http://www.tinypaws.ca/kitcare/index.htm#Orphans

Thanks KW…talking about a nervous wreck. I envisioned her already being w/them & doing her own job. I’ll keep shecking back because I’m having to go out every so often to see if I’ve trapped her. {{{HUGS}}} for your help.

Thanks for the link KW. I’ve got a litter box in the cage w/them,but was figuring to have mama in it w/them. They’re oblivious to it at the moment so I’m sure they’ll be okay. I wonder if this is how all new mothers feel? lol. Can’t wait to show you pics.

I can’t wait to see them, Susie. When you get time, e-mail them to me and I’ll put them on my webshots site so everyone can see them!

The man friend took pics with his camera/phone. He’s still learning to use it,so I’m probably going to have my neighbor (the one who owns Falon, the beautiful faced Siamese I sent many of you a pic of last week. She’s so good with hers. Then she’ll have to download them for me before I can send them out. I’m still very computer illiterate…*blushing that I don’t know what I’m doing yet*.

Here it is 2:45 in the morning & I’m sorry to say Siameezer didn’t get herself trapped. She’s always stayed quite close the first 3 litters she had. I don’t understand why she hasn’t even made it back to the yard. I hope she’s not too sad or depressed from them disappearing like that. If I don’t see any sign of her by the time it starts getting light,I’ll go & see if she’s in the spot I found them at. I feel so bad taking them, but, they are so much safer now. After feeding the kittens & taking care of the toiletries for them,I even went so far as to put a couple of the cotton balls w/their urine scent on them into the trap thinking the scent would draw her back to where I had them caged. But I haven’t seen a sign of her since I got them. She doesn’t understand that she can’t keep having kittens.

Have you been up all night waiting Susie? You certainly are determined to get the mother. Don’t tire yourself out too much. Was reading about the non-blood donor thing on the other thread, you may have just earned yourself a new nick-name, ‘Halfpint”.

MS…lol…and yes I’ve been up all night. Siameezer never came back home. I don’t know what’s going on in her mind, but,I know I feel so badly for taking them from her. It is for the best tho,I know It had to be done. It just turned 5 a.m. & I’m getting ready to feed them again. I’m putting them back in the cage/trap I have set up after the sun comes up & hopefully she’ll come back to find them. Gotta go. Thanks for all your nice words.
