Please welcome our Star Kits for today, Teddy and Gracey. Teddy is a 1 year old Orange Tabby and Gracy is 3 years old. They both live in LA.
Teddy is the only kitten left of his mother’s kittens. He lost his other 4 siblings from dogs and cars. We were very upset from losing all those kittens. He and his mother have the strong bond a mother and her son can have; he follows her everywhere.
His mother Gracey has a different story. She and her brother were abandoned in a house when their mother had not come back to take care of them. There were more kittens, but Gracey and her brother were the only 2 that were not half dead. Unfortunately we lost her brother to a disease (which I forgot the name of) – his name was also Teddy.
Teddy has now grown bigger that his mother, and has become a “mother figure” to my other kitten, Roada – we changed her name to Roadie.
Tom is the owner of 4 amazing cats, and using the Daily Kitten he provides a place for cat and kitten lovers to share the love for their own cats and kittens.
Pounce!!!
Much love to your beautiful kitties!
Toot toot for dog/kitteh as Tuesday’s Star-kit Combo!
Teddy and Gracey are darling. I pray they both live long and prosper! I’m very sorry about the loss of all the kittens. Life sure is difficult for abandoned kittens and those trying to navigate the big outdoors.
Your Teddy looks a lot like my Little Boy Kitty. Those orange tiger tabbies can have real personalities. Hugs to all the four-legged members of your family.
My orange tiger, General Simon Bolivar Buckner (“Si”) took over this house the minute he entered. He was only about 12 weeks old – he had been captured as a feral by my vet – and had received all his shots. He is a very outspoken cat with an unquestionable air of command about him. It does not bode well for anyone who questions his authority, including my wife and four other cats. He can be very loving with those who submit to his supremacy.
Teddy and Mama Gracey are lovely kits, so glad that you were able to save them from the risks of outdoor life. At first I was quite confused with first pic of doggie. Wondering what’s his name? He’s for sure a cutie!
I remember Roadie! Hope she is well.
Different but tragic stories of both Teddy and Gracey, very sorry for the losses. This adorable duo, and Teddy’s doggie friend, are fighters, excellent!
Sweet Babies and sweet doggie pal! 🙂
You have three lovely furry beings (assuming the adorable little dog lives with the two kitties and you). That is a great photo. Mother is most elegant as well.
