Good morning – I’d love to know the story behind the bouncing eggs pic!
Sure wish HRH would eat. Maybe something will tempt her to nibble on.
Glad you are all ready for burning season, MS. I guess it will get cold by you and hot here before we know it.
It’s sunny and chilly here in Jersey this morning. I’m watching the sun shine through a purpl…[Read more]
Woohoo the site is back. I was able to get on but not post at all.
KK has flown home, the chimneys at our, Meegz and Mum’s house were all cleaned and now we are looking forward to having a fire.
HRH is not doing very well and hasn’t eaten today.
Happy Sunday all! …. went to early worship, then quick grocery run and home/chillin’ before the rain hits later today! …. Mr. AV did a quick yard tidy, and Son is having friends over later to ‘play’ in the golf/man cave …. I’m headed to the porch to ready with Caddy
Oh HRH! Abby will yakk everything up if I feed her too much all at once!…[Read more]
Relaxing Sunday to everyone! I’m not planning on doing anything and so far it’s been a success!
This was a two cups of coffee morning–it tasted so good I decided I wasn’t done yet. We had a fun birthday party here for middle granddaughter yesterday afternoon–everyone bringing their pizza of choice. Such a great idea and that way you get pizza…[Read more]
Happy Earth Day! Take your plants out for a non gas powered ride. Then smoke them. Hehe.
The hot pool sounds glorious, and to have it to yourselves for a while is certainly a nice bonus!
I’ll be doing some Earth Day cleanup in my yard today, the remnants of where a bear had a picnic. It’s a beautiful day so I might start uncovering some gar…[Read more]
Had a fantastic soak at the hot pools, eventually we were the only people in the pool and had a great time. Picture this, hot pool with steam rising off it, low lighting and red and yellow up lighting into the palms and tree ferns that surround the pool. Underwater seating all around the pool. Bliss.
I am heading to bed wonderfully relaxed.
We had nasty crisis last night just as Mr MS rrived home from work. He comes in the door calling out ‘Honey, I’m home, how was your day?” Then he walked in on the scene of cat yak across two rooms and a huge pond of cat pee around the litter tray and paper towels in scrunched up bunches all over. Poor HRH ate a sachet of Whiskas but I…[Read more]
Wow, short Cafe.
There are auctioneers in my family background in the UK. Maybe that is where I get my fascination with antiques from. Sadly I can’t afford some of the things I see but satisfy myself with small pieces of china.
Earth Day is here again. This is another chance to, if not be the solution, at least be less of a problem for Mother Earth. Don’t just treat this just as an incentive to pick up coke cans on a jogging trail (definitely go do that, as well). We can’t change everyone but we can looking at our habits and see the type of impact we have on our e…[Read more]

That’s an odd button, Lagatta. I understand the point they’re trying to make but you’re right that is insensitive.
We’re having a nice slushy snow storm. It started last night but it’s moving mid country and maybe won’t bother KZ and JJ. It has been so dry here that we began statewide fire watch two weeks ago. This weather is supposed to…[Read more]
Some of the planet’s biggest personalities, loudest voices and quickest talkers are celebrated on Auctioneers Day. It’s a time to remember that auctioneering is one of the world’s most ancient professions, having begun more than 2,000 years ago. In fact, the very first auction was held about 500 B.C. in Babylon. The late 17th century saw the e…[Read more]

I enjoy volunteering. As the saying goes, cats can’t speak for themselves so I will.
I almost made earlier but when I was running errands and stopped at the store, I couldn’t turn the key to start my car. After waiting for a tow, getting a tow, waiting at the repair shop, I learned the ignition lock cylinder is kaput.…[Read more]

Hi everyone – Looking forward to the arrival of your spring-like temps tomorrow, KZ. It’s been so cold!
I’d nominate my sister, aka JerseyJill, as volunteer of the year. She’s a full time grandma and does a lot with the shelter. Tomorrow is their annual yard sale. I donated a bunch of stuff, but I bet I will come home with a bunch of stuff.…[Read more]

Good morning all.
HRH ate a full pouch of Whiskas chicken and turkey this morning. 😀
So happy that she has a good feed in her.
Like KZ, I volunteered as a classroom aide when the girls were at primary school and helped with any students that needed remedial reading, I also served 6 years as secretary on the PTA. I thoroughly seeing the…[Read more]
Here is a link for you to read up on FeLV, but the best place to start would be your vet. You have done everything correct by getting her there and getting the medications she needs for her health such as dewormer, antibiotics for URI, good food, bathing, etc. and…[Read more]

Good morning everyone…it’s FRIDAY!! Beautiful blazing sunshine today with the promise of 60ish temps today. Avery is asleep on the couch for the moment, so I thought I’d stop in and say HI!
I volunteered as an aide when my girls were in grade school and spent several days a week at the school assisting teachers and students wherever they needed…[Read more]
