  • Hey y’all. I just wanna update and let y’all know that Joxer is feeling SO much better. I haven’t found any blood in his pee in a couple days and he’s started actually using the litter box again which is a huge relief. I’m so happy!! Thanks for the advice.

  • Hey, y’all, I just got home from the vet. The vet told me that Joxer has a small bladder and apparently it was empty, so they weren’t able to do a urine analysis, but after his physical exam, she gave me some anti biotics. She said that he also might be stressed out, which is either adding to or the specific cause of it, so I’m going to try and…[Read more]

  • I scheduled his appointment for tomorrow, which is pay day, so hopefully it doesn’t break the bank too much. I’m also hoping it’s a UTI, but he’s around the age, I think, that they start to be at risk for kidney stones and other related problems, so I am just a big ball of worry. I was literally up all night tossing and turning. I’m thinking about…[Read more]

  • One of my poor babies has been peeing frequently and has blood in his urine for the past day. I’m wondering how much it would cost to take him in to get him properly tested and treated. I’m definitely taking him to the vet, but I was hoping to know how much it would cost beforehand to make sure I can actually afford it lol.

  • He gets vetted pretty regularly, and the last time we were there, about two months ago, they said he was in perfect health except he had some plaque lol. Next time I go in, I’ll ask our vet about it.

As far as the outside cats go, it would be a little unrealistic to keep them out of the yard. This is where we feed them/take care of them. They…[Read more]

  • Hey yall. Old thread, but I wanted to update just cause. It’s been a few months and the dog and cats are co-existing. She just had to get bonked on the head a few times, but all is well!! Love it when my animals work it out among themselves xD

  • In my multi cat household, I have struggled for the last few years to keep up with cleaning after them. It comes with the territory, I know, but recently it’s been getting on my damned nerves. I have a male, 6 y/o, neutered, been with me for 4 years, and recently he’s taken to peeing at the front door, and literally right outside both of the…[Read more]

  • She went back with her previous owners, and I’m pretty happy about the way that it turns out because I’m currently “fostering” a new kitten with a couple more on the way, but I wanted to let y’all know since I started this thread 🙂

So they are pretty sure the red lazer pointer caused the aggression so they trashed it. They also have been…[Read more]

  • It is unfair to patches :(. And since she’s been back with me, she’s readjusted so quickly. But the reason I had to find a new home for her was because I already have so many cats, and I take care of the feral population in my neighborhood. She wasn’t getting enough attention from me. I can’t afford her vet bills. This family took her to the vet…[Read more]

  • So I spoke with the mother and she said she spoke with a professional who gave her some advice. She informed me that she had been using the red light pointer to play with her, and that this professional said that might have caused the aggression. I’m actually kind of against red light pointers, so I would kind of understand this. She said that the…[Read more]

  • She seems to be going back to her normal self, but it’s sad that she isn’t like she used to be.

I got a text from her previous owner, the lady who gave her back to me, and she wants me to consider giving Patches back to her while she looks into how to deal with her behavior. I told her I’d discuss it with my boyfriend, but I don’t really want to…[Read more]

  • So this year, I managed to so far get 8 of the strays in my neighborhood spayed. One of them was a kitten that was born on my property, who we called Patches. About a month ago, we found a family to adopt her, and since then, she has lived with them.

That was until I got an email from the woman that had taken her saying that this kitten had been…[Read more]

  • I have roughly 10-15 cats that live on this property, not necessarily mine but i take care of them. We got this dog a few months ago, and she kind of crazy. We found her on the side of the road living in the woods and she was clearly abused, abandoned, and had like real severe anxiety. We’ve fixed a lot of her bad behavior, except she still has a…[Read more]

  • The last couple weeks were a good one for spaying and neutering as I was able to get 8 of our 12 “stray” cats fixed. 2 of which were already MASSIVELY pregnant, like probably due any day now, and the other 2 were males and will be fixed soon but are on a lower priority.

One of those females was not be fixed because she didn’t seem to be doing…[Read more]

  • This past month was a good month for fixing the neighborhood kitties! With donations, I was able to schedule for 8 out of 12 of my cats to get fixed (2 of which were far too pregnant for me feel comfortable about getting them fixed, and the other 2 are our males that are on the waiting list).

Unfortunately, my cat Minnie was not fixed, and I was…[Read more]
