This site is great…are there any other birders on here? (I am…but usually don’t admit it first, lol!) I have done Project Feeder Watch for about the last 5 years…it is so much fun, I really enjoy it.

Oh great…. Mr. WWM is over on his computer listening to the different bird calls. We have beautiful Bullock’s Orioles that feed at our feeder but they have the worst song you can imagine. He’s listening to the Bullock’s Oriole song at this site, and it’s very beautiful. So he turned around and asked me why ours don’t sound like that? Simple, I told him – ours are Texans.

Well, with the drought you guys are having, maybe they are hoarse. Why don’t you try to get them to gargle with your home remedy, WWM? haha!

Cool. I’ve got to send this link to my neice. When she visited a few months ago, she loved my upstairs because it’s at treetop/bird hanging-out level. She can identify just about any bird; her grandfather would be so proud of her! Such beautiful music!

Okay, I have put a little dish of saltwater gargle out by the bird feeder and we are anxiously waiting inside with our binoculars!

Again thanks Dee for this thread…I’ve been feeding/watching birds for many years! (That is how kits found me…first feed on birds@feeder than moi with kitcat food instead!)
