The little girl had a big solid log of a BM this morning. They are doing much better now after a couple of large dumps! I think we are back in the clear!

Got the goats milk this morning and started them on it today. I am officially done with this formula constipation business. They are loving it so far and Im looking forward to things being easier for them as well as my nerves lol.

They are cute little things arent they^^? Im glad you guys liked the pics and the gif. Ill have to post more at some point.

And yes KZ! The girl is definitely a tortie!

@PG I wouldnt have it any other way:). Thank you. I get abit teary when his nose wrinkles like that too, just way too cute :P.

Hey I just wanted to thank you guys for the confirmation of the goats milk. I was a little leery at first since I know its not as “complete” as KMR is but my little girl just took the healthiest poop I have seen come out of her since I had her. It was a perfect, smooth, little snake. Well, actually it was pretty big lol, but it was amazing!

Is there any way that I can supplement the vitamins they arent getting from the goats milk that they are in the KMR (like the taurine)? Or is it not worth worrying about?

Also heres a more recent pic of them being quite content:)

Hi, Luca, good to hear that your little ones are doing much better. Goats’ milk has plenty of taurine, in fact it has 20 times more taurine than cows milk and taurine is the most plentiful amino acid contained in goats’ milk so you don’t have to worry about that. You can bring them up on goats’ milk alone, and it’s also a nutritious treat for them at any age. If you do want to add things to it, you can add a raw egg yolk (never white, it’s not good for kittens), a couple of teaspoons of mayonnaise or yoghurt, an envelope of plain gelatin (gelatin is made from cows’ hooves so is full of amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein that the kittens need). Hit the pink tag ‘glop’ for access to more recipes.

Luca, what good news about how well they are doing! I almost passed out at the latest pic! They look like little chubby bears and I could bury my face in the kitten pile and kiss them to pieces!! Goat’s milk is complete like Jcat says, it has worked miracles for me with my kittens and I give it to my adult cats every now and then for a special treat.

I’m so glad they love the Goats milk and everything is moving smoothly. 😉
Just give them Goats milk for now. Your wee kits are getting appropriate nutrients so don’t worry about it.
Please give your wee kits gentle kisses from me and gang of fur balls.

    Hi Luca,

How are you and your wee kits getting along?

Quite well! They are as rowdy as ever and getting closer and closer to becoming full grown cats. Theyre now devouring fourmula and wet food mixed. They still dont understand the spoon or the plate andd are pretty attatched to the nipple, but i figure if i keep trying they will get there. They are also making use of the litterbox which is really nice!

I will probably be posting pictures in the other thread I made some time tomorrow 🙂

    Shaky and loss of appetite

Thank you so much for asking 🙂

This is all such great advice, everyone! I’ve been fostering kittens from the local animal shelter for the past several months (I’m on my 4th litter) and this place is so helpful. Of course, one of my newest little sweetsies is…constipated. Haha. I swear, if they weren’t so adorable, I don’t know if I could bring myself to rub a cotton ball on their butts to help them go to the bathroom. But, of course, they’re beyond adorable. Anyway, I’m going to try your suggestions. Thanks again!

Pawsome you stopped by Lizzie. Keep us updated on your furry purries.

You can also type in key word on upper right side of pink bar in search box as constipated etc. to find more chat/links as help.
    Good luck.
