Getting used to it–I still freak out a bit at the size of the needles–heart races and I feel cold and clammy–but I haven’t passed out!

Ahh, nature in action – in my own backyard! I was sitting outside with Comet on my lap when I saw one of the black ferals tumbling around. Within minutes 3 others joined in. On closer look, he a snake! The prizetaker didn’t mind showing off, but didn’t allow anyone else to play with it, and boy did he play with it – tossing it around and twisting to catch it.

Good job kitty! (as long as the snake wasn’t dangerous) Joan, sometimes I wish I lived where you live. We don’t get any wildlife around here, unless you count rats, pigeons, squirrels & seagulls (I don’t)

A garter snake, not dangerous (but still, ewww!). Looks like kitty got bored, because someone else is tossing it around now! Meanwhile, Tommy has been lounging on my patio and I just gave him some more dental treats.

Heads up Kilroy – storms are coming.

Thanks for the heads-up Joan; hope it blows through before I leave that place. We have to go to a retirement party tonight for one of Mr. K’s former employees. I don’t really want to go since a. I don’t like the guy and b. we were out late to see “War Horse” at Lincoln Center last night & I’m falling asleep at my desk. The play was good, though.

I read the book – glad you enjoyed the play. Hope it’s a nice evening despite the negatives – hopefully the food will be really good and you will find yourself chatting with a cat person!

Good Saturday to everyone. That sounds like a fun wildlife display you witnessed, Joan. The one thing I regret for our indoor cats is that they don’t get to hunt live creatures (besides each other.) We try to make up for it with lots of playtime hunting simulations.

Storms blew thru here a short time ago, and Kilroy, it looks like they’re weakening. You’re probably still going to get rain, though. Looks like you were in the same line of storms, Lynn. It was mostly wind and rain with some thunder and lightening.

I am glad Comet is an indoor kitty – the way he LOVES to jump after DaBird makes me think he would be quite the bird catcher. As long as he handles the occasional mouse that dares to come into the house, I’m ok with that.
