    Hi KJ! *waving*
    AV, your table looks fabulous!

AV, your table is so beautiful! Does Abby have access to that room? Because with my three I wouldn’t dare set the table til I had them shut up in a room to stay safe from all the scary visitors. There would be cat hair all over everything by Thursday..lol. But mine are not trained to stay off tables and such.

It’s been a hard Lucy day. Went into petsmart which somehow made me think of the malfunctioning crate I bought there. So many what ifs. In Lousiana when we discovered the crate wasn’t reliable there was probably a petsmart near the hotel. We could have replaced it. But I thought if we just carried it with two hands it would make it to Florida, then we’d get rid of it. Of course, the crash might have made a better crate pop open too, but I don’t think so… I also realized today is exactly 8 months since the crash.

    Here’s a pic of Lucy snuggling against Leo’s rump…

I’m enjoying reading about Mac and Ms. Moneypenny settling into relationships with the other cats. Sounds like it is going well! Leo was the slowest to accept Lucy, then you see how that turned out…. She didn’t care. She was like, “I know he loves me, even when he growls at me.”

Thanks guys! … and yes, Abby has free run of the house … however, she is well trained and NEVER gets on countertops, tables, or furniture that she’s not allowed on …. she really is good … I keep throws on the back of the couches in places that she’s allowed to nap, and on the foot of the beds … she’s really good about staying in ‘her’ places, and I give her many options …. she actually prefers her donut beds to anywhere, especially the one in the family room that is between out TV chairs, and has the heating pad …. she spends the majority of her time there …. LOL

… well, time for me to scare up some dinner … I have a craving for a nice juciy hamburger, so it’s that and oven fries tonight (weekend indulgence!)

(((ECB))) It must be frustrating catching yourself with the ‘what if’s’. Do the folks in the area of the accident keep in touch?
Lucy is so pretty, and Leo doesn’t seem to mind being her pillow.

Joan, our angel in the panhandle, Maggi, is a Facebook friend now so we keep in touch. Last I talked to her she hadn’t given up. She was still putting up posters we had sent to her. She has been such a blessing. It’s so great to have someone in the area. She has really networked with people and done her best to get the word out. And if we ever get a lead, Maggi will gladly check it out for us.

No, Leo didn’t mind. He grew to love her. She had such a special relationship with all the cats. I was just looking through some photos of her wrestling with Emily. Emily will not let the boys wrestle her. They are too rough.

I’m glad you have Maggi. Weird, it’s been weeks – a lot of weeks – since I had that very vivid dream about Lucy and another cat in a carrier with an open top looking up at me, and “Pensacola” being specifically stated. I can still see and hear it. The image of the lady at the white farmhouse is still in my head too, though something has changed. Does the grass yellow or do change with the season that far south? I’ve never been to the Florida panhandle.

Yeah, I think it does change a bit season to season, being agricultural especially. There have been some hard freezes recently, so that would change the appearance I bet.

EC, Lucy is still in my continued prayers and thoughts ….. I believe she is being well looked after ….

Oh ECB it must be so hard 🙁 my heart aches for you it really does. The “what ifs” just ripe your heart out.

Joan I imagine the grass still tallish but dried out so it’s a light sandy colour … It’s not as high when it’s green .. What kind of crop would that be.

Oh ECB I imagine frost ! I thought I had to be wrong though cause when I think of Florida there’s never frost..

Oh, yeah, definite frost in the panhandle and where I am in northeast FL too. We had record lows this past week. Warmed back up though, as it always does.

OMG it’s only in the last few days I seen the white frost on the dried out grass! And in the last two weeks whenever I thought of Lucy I’ve thought of her being inside like someone is keeping her indoors . Same old lady too .

Back in for a warmer on my latte as finished most of project in record time. I always seem to beat my deadlines, but like to give myself some leeway so as not to stress out. Told myself that I’d just sit in front of screen and see what happens and 1.5 hrs later the words started flowing from my fingertips it’s 95% done, just need some basic info from client.
Did interfere with knitting plans, but hey, I don’t get paid to knit LOL.
AV, your table looks gorgeous. All set up like 4 days in advance (which BTW I would also do) and Abby doesn’t make herself at home on it – wow! Might sound a tad strange, but although I never entertain past scaring up a coffee, I appreciate the look of table settings. Actually have a coffee table size book “Table Settings, Entertaining and Etiquette”. Guess I like the prettiness and formality, it’s the food thing that holds little to no interest for me. If pressed (highly unlikely), I guess that I would cater everything. My interests/traits lie elsewhere. Whatever.
Buttons, nice that your 2 girls are getting acquainted! Sounds like you have kitty competition for Mr. B’s affection! 😉
It snows in FL??? That’s a new one on me!
    Hi back Joan *waves*

Good morning all, just popping in briefly to see what went on while I was sleeping.
AV, love your Thanksgiving table setting.
ECB, beautiful pic of Lucy and Leo snuggling. I still think of Lucy but no dreams or feelings about her recently. I think maybe she is settled in with someone and being looked after and loved.
Deb, that certainly was an outage of the puters.
JUdith, how lovely that Dru is such a good girl at night and what a lovely wake up.
Oh the classic weepy eye of the feline herpes cat. Shadz has a weepy eye at the moment and is uber picky with her food. She barely ate yesterday and turned up her nose at breakfast this morning. A few minutes ago I put some of her steak and kidney on a saucer and crumbles cooked chicken over the top and hey presto! she ate the lot. Looks like I will have to add tempting little things to her usual foods of which I have so many different flavours.
Buttons I will have to see if I can get the capsules here instead of the tablet. Do the capsules mix well with goat or cat milk and the tablets crushed won’t mix at all but HRH still seems to happily lap it all up – when she’s in the mood.
Joan, yay for Comet and Mac and their peace treaty – if only humans were that way.
Hi KJ, at least it’s not icy icy cold there.
We have a lovely sunny day here with much calmer winds which means maybe I will be able to finally get some more vegetables sown in my garden without worrying about the young plants being windblasted and frizzled.

Well MS, I had a day like you: had plans but did nothing I planned even though it turned out okay! I guess we need to be flexible that way, huh?!
I have been enjoying reading about Ms. Moneypenny getting along with her siblings, and Joan about Mac coming in and learning the ropes.
AV your table is gorgeous, but like ECB, it would be covered with hair and a few of the plates would make nice beds for the cats, LOL. They scamper off when I tell them to, but Willow doesn’t even under stand the words “would you please get down”, and if I shoo him he thinks I am playing. I can’t really get mad at him though, he’s so cute sitting on his back legs like a squirrel trying to box my hands when I am trying to shoo him….I am such a sucker!
It has started to rain here and will be warm again tomorrow. Not too bad for this time of year, but the flies are starting to warm up that were trapped in the windows and they are flying around bumping the ceilings and looking for warm lights to crawl into. Willow and Leona are frantic about it at the moment.
It took me forever to read three pages of this thread, so I am going to go grab something to munch on and see everyone later, or tomorrow, I’m not sure which!! 😉

Comet comes up on the counter by the sink – he needs to know about anything that requires the water to be running. Occasionally, he jumps on the dining room table, but is quickly shooed off.
Did a few things. But not as much as I could have. And…because of the change I’ve made at “that place”, I’m feeling no anxiety! I really can’t remember the last time I felt this good on a Sunday evening!

Joan so glad you are feeling more relaxed and less stressed! I hope good things continue that way for you. Okay, now I really AM going to get something to munch on….

Joan, I’m so happy for you. Is it a permanent change?

KZ, I cringed reading about poor Willows paw the other night. How’s it doing?

MS, can you order from Entirely Pets where you are? Seems like JCat is the first person who ever mentioned that site….that’s why I ask. The lysine powder we use is sold there and is affordable (I guess everyone’s definition is different there) and seems to taste great to the cats….they describe it as lysine in a “palatable base” for cats…my cats love it! I was just thinking it would be nice if HRH’s lysine would actually tempt her to eat. Mine would gobble it down plain if they could.

Here’s a link…though the price has gone up lately, but that would last one cat for some time…

    http://www.entirelypets.com/vetsoluviralys.html

I order mine from amazon….hope their prices haven’t gone up too!
