The lounge has gone into weekend mode, but kitties are mindful of those who are not on the M-F w**k schedule. The weekend staff tend to be a bit more relaxed and recreation based, as many of the humans who stop by are looking to do what they want to do, as opposed to what they have to do. (For instance, I have lots of housework to do, but it’s so nice out, perhaps there is something outside I will do instead!)
Many of the weekday staff are planning family beach days, others are going snowboarding.
Over by the beach there is a volleyball game starting, and maybe horseshoes later.

Anyone up for a bonfire tonight?

All of your favorite hot and cold noms and bevvies are here, hostess kitties will find the purrfect spot for you, and chef kitties await your custom order.
    Welcome!

Morning Joan! ….. beach volleyball sounds fun! ….. I think I’ll lounge by the pool and watch the younger kits play! ….. it’s another rainy day here, so virtural sunshine is welcome! ….. I’m making red-neck humas to take to Bro’s dinner tonight (made with boiled peanuts instead of chick peas) so I need to get myself to the market soon ……

Hi AV – redneck hummus sounds great! I’ve been down the mountain already to get my hair done and go to the market.
Now I think I’ll enjoy a bit of virtual beach time. *gets big floppy hat that looks just like Leela’s, only bigger and finds the perfect lounge chair. Hostess kitty serves up a tall glass of pineapple juice.*

He’d get on well with Buttons AV πŸ™‚ you know he has a soft spot for those bow ties :). Looks like most in the cafe are having a lazy day.. I’m really enjoying mine πŸ™‚

Catching up on some tv recorded stuff.. Made a lovely dinner with slow cooked bacon …

Don’t have much news .. Mr B’s sister was ment to call me last weekend and she didn’t then she told my BF she was calling to day to see me and she didn’t and she cancled plans to go wedding dress shopping with us next Thursday I think my and is a bit disappointed but Can’t say I’m not surprised but I’ve warned my BF to just leave things well enough alone when it concerns me and Mr B’s sister .. I’m kinda glad she’s not around me I don’t have to worry about her making up stories of things I’ve said about her so at least this way she cant make up those stories again if we aren’t in contact.

    For dogs…

Apple Cider Vinegar Tea Body Rinse

This body rinse can be useful to restore skin pH, soothe itchy skin, calm rashes and welts, and has some added benefits for keeping biting flies, fleas and gnats at bay.

Mix the following ingredients together in a bottle/jar with cap and shake well before use:

    Apple Cider Vinegar: 1/2 cup
Brewed Green Tea (cooled): 1/2 cup
    Distilled Water: 1 cup
Apply to clean skin and coat, massage, rinse, pat dry.

I’ve done a few things here, but generally it’s been a lazy Caturday.
On the Leela front: she took an Angry Bird toy from her nest and brought it to the other side of the room. I’ve been trying to play with her more and I think she is telling me she wants to play too. Big news, since I don’t remember the last time she carried a toy anywhere.

    How cute, Joan! Go Leela!

Lazy Saturday here too. Rainy day at my mom’s lake place. It has turned out to be great fun. Sitting here now watching a Sandhill crane raid my mom’s bird feeder.

and today i went and got yerba mate to try. the real stuff in a bag with the gourd and bombilla and all. oh, and i tried that kfc double down today. that’s some good junk food! two pieces of chicken with cheese and bacon sandwiched in between. n kfc fries. and some latino pastries for desert. i have no idea what kind, but they looked good when i was getting the gourd.

Leela and I played earlier with a piece of string. She has 79 toys, but plain string is awesome. Later I noticed the Angry Bird toy was moved again, a good sign πŸ™‚
Have to keep string away from Comet though, he will eat it!

lol @ joan even the cats r addicted to angry birds

Hi Littermates, We had a funny thing happen this morning, we have daughter’s trailer here and went to attach it to the car and as Mr MS pulled it out from under the shrubbery HRH Shadz exploded from it. She had been snoozing off her Sunday bacon breakfast in it and we didn’t see her. She stalked off, pausing several times to toss stinkeye looks at Mr MS. LOL, poor baby. I’ve been brushing sand off my hands and sadly it wasn’t from the beach volleyball. Mr MS and I loaded up a trailer with concrete interlocking retaining blocks from a friend’s beachside property and then had the pleasure of unloading them a short time later(sarcasm). Maybe HRH will discover that the heap is a great place to snooze instead of the trailer. There are some garden projects in my future. πŸ™‚
Joan, that is great that Leela has been playing and moving her toys, may it continue.
AV, redneck hummus, sounds different and nice.
Buttons, I would say you have the measure of Mr B’s sis.
ECB, rainy days by a lake can be quite restful, especially if it involves feathered wildlife.
Nirmal, did you like the yerba mate. The first time I came across it was when a niece brought some home after a year in Argentina, we all tried it.
The sun is beginning to go down now and time I fed HRH and prepared dinner and got ready for the week ahead.

I’d love to get an angry birds toy for buttons must look that up :). Maybe the nail trim has given her a new lease on life Joan or just a strange coincidence ..

Oh HRH! It must have been so horrible to be woken up like that πŸ˜† I always find kitty stink eye so funny.. I bet all will be forgiven about the time you feed her MS πŸ™‚

Buttons, I have been forgiven for laughing but so far Mr MS is still in the dogbox.
HRH is now curled up asleep in her basket in front of the unlit fire.
