Just something we call NZ considering the number of quakes we have here.
KZ will have to find out what a pumpkin roll is, sounds interesting.

Wow! Tks again MS! I’ve learned so many new and interesting things today. Thought Shaky Isles was some sort of archipelago near NZ that I had never heard of. Although there are probably many islands that I have never heard of seeing as I can’t discern my own province on map of Canada, not something that I’m proud of but geography was so not my subject.

And here’s the aforementioned new yarn storage bin with designated cover. I’m thinking not bad for solid wood, and lightweight and esp the price as free. It’s going to stay in hallway for the night to dry out some more. We’re not allowed to place things in hallway so plse don’t tell!

Just caught up on the weekend cafe happenings. Nice planter, KJ. And so glad Dorry got to experience catnip!

So sweet that Mac is enjoying a warm loving home, Joan.

    Hey Joan,
In the event that you stop in this is virtually for you:
    http://www.lindtusa.com/shop/milk-chocolate-orange-bar
Available in US (sad that those NZ treats are not) but not sure you can roll them down main street in your n’hood. 😉
And with this little contribution, I’m off to bed! Good nite all!

Hi all, back again after braving the rain. HRH has finally woken up and headed out into the rain for a walk.
KJ, great find, it almost looks like an old tea chest. Dorry will love being able to sit on the top of that when it is full of soft yarn.
Joan,Mac has made his decision and inside with you and the family at night is what he wants, he will most likely still want to go outside during the day but over Winter you may well be able to wean him from that with a warm afghan and fire.
I have beef & mushroom ragout in the slowcooker and will serve with baked potatoes and silverbeet(Swiss chard) that daughter is bringing around in exchange for a plate of dinner.
Ohhhhhhh, looked up pumpkin roll and they look like sponge rolls that we make either chocolate or vanilla and then fill with whipped cream. I made the Christmas trifle with one last year.

    Night KJ, sweet dreams.

    Hi ECB! *waving*
Nice storage bin, KJ, and thank you for the candy bar, yummy!
MS, scary about the earthquake. We don’t feel them much but there are plenty of fault lines around here and my dad said there are quakes all the time that we don’t notice. It’s true, because he said it.
I like your spin on pumpkin roll. Perhaps I could do something like that for Christmas dessert. A few years back I made whoopie pies, another Amish specialty. While perusing for ideas for this year, I saw a recipe for cookies with filling, and though the recipe was coconut, which I don’t like, it got me to thinking about making cookies, then make the filling for whoopie pies, and putting them together as a cookie sandwich. Then again, there’s plan A, which is a no bake Oreo cookie pie. Guess we’ll see how much time and creativity I have as the holidays approach!
