PG, love the roll top desk.

The sun has gone and the temperature has dropped rapidly. πŸ™
Had to race outside and bring in the driest of the washing and then race around the house shutting doors and windows I had wide open to air the house out. πŸ™
Next job is put back on the clothing I had removed and make a hot cup of tea. Brrrr

Brrr, MS – nothing like a cold rain to get a good chill. Enjoy the tea. πŸ™‚

Well that was interesting and exhausting. It began to rain so I raced outside to get in the still damp washing and noticed there was odd white wet stuff on it with a round centre. Closer inspection revealed it as either partially formed hail or snow but I think the meteorological types would say it was graupel which is what our ‘hail’ fall yesterday turned out to be.
“Graupel (German pronunciation: [???a?p?l]; English /??ra?p?l/, also called soft hail or snow pellets) is precipitation that forms when supercooled droplets of water are collected and freeze on a falling snowflake, forming a 2–5 mm (0.079–0.197 in) ball of rime. The term graupel comes from the German language”.
Never to old to learn. πŸ˜€
Even Shadz was looking at the stuff as it fell on her and eventually she ran inside and watched me set and light the fire. The temp dropped about 5C in a matter of minutes. This weather can certainly keep you on your toes.

The point of the bathtub thingy is to put you book on it and then turn the pages. Not to hold the book while it sits resting on tub. Try it, you might like it. πŸ˜‰

Thank you all. I love my desk and my clock!

It’s good to hear you’re looking forward to Spring, MS. I’m already tired of hot and dry.

I hear you PG, thing is thingy or not, I fell asleep!
Hmmm … wonder if the street faeries will gift me with a Dali clock. LOL
Think that we have that kind of snow here too, MS, didn’t know the name so tks for info. The Inuit (our aboriginal peeps in serious North) have like a zillion names for each type of snow, and I don’t know any of these names. And tks for kit pic that compliments said mental image purrfectly!
    Avon still calls? πŸ™‚
Hi Joan, when you check out 1st pic in MOANday CafΓ© the kit might remind you of a certain diva. πŸ˜‰

Awwww…. SO sad about the Lucy memory ECB. What a thing to be reminded of.. πŸ™ Breaks my heart that she cannot be found. Sending hugs to you.
PG that desk is just gorgeous!! WOW. We used to have a desk just like that, but it was twice as wide and was a light color of wood. I don’t quite remember what happened to it over the years? Hummm…. just remembered, we also had one the size of yours. They sure are useful! Oldest sis had the biggest desk and middle sis had the smaller one in their bedrooms. When oldest sis got married, middle sis took her room and I got hers so got to use the smaller desk for a few years. I used to sleep in my parents room until I was pretty old. There were only 3 bedrooms. Parent’s bedroom was a long bedroom with my bed on one side and theirs on the other. It all worked. LOL
KJ, I feel sad for you that you are so stressed out. Hope the library book is ok. I cannot even GET into the bathtub at this point… which is sad as my leg could really benefit from good Epsom salt soaks. πŸ™ The other bathroom has a huge garden tub which is perfect, but leaks. Cannot afford to fix the leak at this time.

Avon was actually delivering, I don’t think they have ever called here. They do pop their catalogues in the letterbox if you are a regular.
Glad you like the pic KJ, I thought it looked like Dorry.
PG, after the hail/graupel and sudden drop in temp I wish Spring would hurry up and arrive.
Shadz is curled up on the floor in front of the fire. It’s a hard life.
