I don’t think I’ve ever opened a cafe before. But I’ve been up for hours and am ready to hang out with the TDK crowd. I’m not very creative so the cafe is serving what I cooked for breakfast today….baked oatmeal with peaches…topped with vanilla yogurt and toasted walnuts. Coffee and tea too of course. And some hard boiled eggs and pastries for those who don’t care for oatmeal. Happy Saturday!

How cute, Deb. I showed the video to my son. He’s obsessed with the idea of having a pet bird some day.

Morning ECB & Deb. Breakfast looks great! *pulls up a chair*
The sun is out and the birds are singing – looks like we will dry out today.

Leo is starting to meow earlier for his breakfast. And once he starts, he doesn’t stop. Started at 4:30 this morning. I’m going to run some errands…maybe that will perk me up.

Leo’s clock looks to be in time with the sunrise – the birds are waking up about an hour before.
Glad Buttons is getting better, we worry so much when our furry ones aren’t themselves.

Leela’s dandruff seems to be subsiding now that she is coming out of her shell.

    Happy Flag Day!

Hi, Buttons and Joan. I wonder if feeling better means more self grooming for Leela and that’s why you’re seeing less dandruff? It’s so encouraging to get good news on Leela updates! Glad buttons is perking up too.

While I was out I stopped by Petsmart for cat litter. And you know what that means….taking a peek at the cats for adoption (purely window shopping….we are in NO position to adopt.) The only adult cat was this uniquely beautiful brown tabby with white girl. I had never seen her shade of brown…light brown, almost gold….and her eyes matched. She was two years old and seemed to enjoy watching people walk by. If we were in the position to adopt I’d be the proud “owner” of one golden tabby right now…lol.

Our cats seem to have settled down with each other. We are leaving them together unattended now…came in and saw Leo and Eko together on the dryer today. Emily seems to be holding a grudge….more grumpy than usual with both the boys. I made a dental appt for Leo next week so we’ll see how round two goes.

I’m glad the kits are calming down ECB 🙂 I’m sure Emily will come around soon 🙂

That cats colouring sounds very unusual I’m sure she’ll find a home soon ..

Glad the kits are settling down. That tabby sounds pretty! Buttons is right, she will have a family in no time. Mac has a golden yummy that he likes to show me. I never thought a stray kitty would trust enough to do that.
Leela is indeed grooming more, not as obsessive as a normal cat, but she’s getting there.

Yeah, I think the petsmart cat will find a home. It sounded like she had a sweet personality and she had other admirers in the short time I stood there.

That’s so sweet about Mac, Joan. Sounds like he was someone’s pet at some point?

It’s possible ECB. He looks like he wants to come in, but I would have to get him to the vet right away and he would have to become an indoor cat. Who knows, he might want that!

You know I’ve been secretly thinking that about Mac Joan!

I do love the name.. We had a Black Labrador called Mac and I grew up with him he died about 5 years ago and I considered him my Brother… He was an incredibly special boy ! I miss him everyday… He was a massive part of my life! I still have his chain on my mantel and when he went on his final vet visit I got my dad to take a small cutting of his fur .. I separated it into four and had them laminated and gave one each to my sisters & brother.. I have my one beside my St Francis statue… So Mac is a very special name for me!

Afternoon all! … ECB, you did a great job opening the Cafe! Joan, could Mac possibly be a bud for Comet? Maybe he wouldn’t bug Leela so much if he had another pal to play with!?

… been working all day, friend and I troubleshooting the new programing our industry switched to, and that is so frustrating! …. I think between the two of us, we’ve figured out enough to navigate through it, but we both agree, it’s certainly not an improvement…. just makes it harder to do what we want to do! ugh!

… Son is in Rome, and just sent pictures from Vatican City and some of the old famous ruins …. really amazing, he’s definitely on the trip of a lifetime, an experience he’ll never forget!

Your son is truly so lucky AV .. Most people live their whole lives and don’t get to experience even 1% of what he’s experiencing!

Buttons, he is truly talented at making things happen …… somehow when he wants to do something, he finds a way to do it! …… I stopped questioning ‘how’ long ago …. now I just ask ‘when’ …… LOL

oh, and I meant to send you the link I found very helpful, talking about cats and Miralax. It really has helped Cuddles

Thanks so much AV … I’ll have a read of that tonight..

I’ll be sleeping in the couch again cause Buttons still hasn’t made a litter tray attempt.. But there’s still leakage for a few minutes every couple of hours..

His stomach is a lot softer now… But I know not all of what’s been in his system has come out yet.. So laxatives will continue for at least tomorrow.. His bum is sore now from licking ( he’s only been able to clean his self today his stomach was so bloated yesterday he could clean himself..) so I bought water based baby wipes for him today…

I’ve even warned my parents to stay away for the next few days while Buttons isn’t 100%… So no stress for my baby boy..
