Sweet video of a goggie who was blind from cataracts seeing the world (and his hoomin) after surgery (note: a couple of brief surgery shots but nothing too icky)

    Waves at everyone 🙂

Get better wishes for Rex and Buttons, and Fred too.

Today is a wipe me out day, beside it being my Friday, the 4th anniverary of my Mom’s Dead Day and all those souls lost on this day 12 years ago and the suffering by their families, friends, the rest of the world….its just a long day, so I am going to try for a nap of at least an hour or two and then maybe I can think again.

    Hugs for everyone.

    Yay for Scootie’s almost anniversary!

{{{Deb}}} I too am a bit wiped. I can still almost see the ashes on my truck;I am in the shadows of the city. The way the wind blew that day when the bright blue sky turned ashen.

I haven’t had a chance to check it out, but while running some errands earlier, I noticed many flags at half staff. I thought this day is officially Patriot Day, a day of reflection, similar to Veterans Day and Memorial Day. Now I’m wondering, do we lower flags on Pearl Harbor Day?

Buttons, Rex says thank you very much for the loan of the blankie. It helps him feel better than lying on the cold stainless steel of the vet’s cage, and it might make him feel well enough to purr again.

And I’m planning on getting him on the D-mannose as soon as he comes home. His kidneys appear to be functioning just fine; the leakage he had overnight still smelled like cat urine, looked normal (not bloody). I think he still has so much inflammation that his urethra swells shut. I’ll be finding out more in an hour or so.

AV, I “favorited” the soup thread, too 🙂 It’s so freaking cold in the newsroom all the time, I could use those recipes all year.

…. I know Kilroy, I should have ‘favorited’ it years ago, but I just kept forgetting! I was just google chatting with Son about buying ‘Advantage’ flea treament for his kitties…. he said it’s like twice the price in NYC as it is in Tampa, so I suggested he order it online, but he said NY had some kind of import tax………. he thinks it would be cheaper for me to buy it and mail it to him – what do you think?

Hmmm, I buy stuff online and only pay sales tax (and I’ll tell you, having 40 lb boxes of cat litter delivered is brilliant). I’ve never encountered any sort of import tax, unless it’s factored into sales tax somehow.

I would have him figure out what it would cost online with shipping vs your instore cost + the cost of mailing it to him. He might be surprised when he actually crunches the numbers.

Glad to hear he’s settling in well 🙂
