Well, the breakfast bar is open. We have piping hot coffee, tea, apple cider(hot or cold), orange juice. Pancakes with maple syrup and your choice of toppings, also, bacon, sausage, eggs, homemade biscuits, and some hashbrowns.

This is a day of memories, most of them hard to hear…may all those who have passed and/or still suffering from that day 12 years ago, I hope that peace can find a place in your hearts.

This is also the 4th Anniversary of my Mom’s Dead Day, so I will be reflecting on that too.

Morning all!…… wow! I remember so vividly 12 years ago ……. watching in stunned silence as the news showed planes – first hit the one tower, thinking it was a mistake, and then it hitting the second tower and everyone realizing something very evil had taken place …………. it was hard to digest!

08:46 EST, Let us pause to remember the men, women and children who lost their lives 12 years ago and to honor the brave first responders who perished as they worked to save others. There will be a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. Eastern time, the moment the first plane hit the World Trade Center. I hope to pause for that minute to silently honor the courage and sacrifice of that horrific day.

Morning all! Thinking of you today, Deb….remembering those dates is always hard. My Dad will be gone 10 years tomorrow, so hard to believe. Also thinking of the horrific events that took place in the US, 12 years ago. Still seems unreal.

Morning Katthays 🙂 May your memories of your Dad be good and that they comfort you.

Just asked for a moment of silence over my radios for all those who died that day.

While I think back to memories of the day, I also am calling the vet’s office. Rex has dilated pupils and rapid respiration this morning. Not sure if he’s in pain, going back into kidney failure, or if he aspirated some of the liquid medication last night. Regardless, he’s going back in to the vet’s office this morning.

Thanks, Deb….Hi Ann….oh no, poor Rex. I hope he will be ok!

I hope so, too. I’m worried about a relapse. He has an appointment in about an hour or so… let’s hope it’s something simple like pain management, rather than a relapse.

{{{Rex}}} Good luck at the vet’s, Ann.

I’m listening to the reading of the names from Ground Zero. It is just as emotional now as ever.

There is a new memorial in Bloomingdale, NJ. I pass by there every day and saw workers installing pieces of the WTC about a week ago.

Ann, hugs for you and Rex, may it only be a fluke for him.

I’ll never forget how quiet the skies were that day.

Comet wants everyone to know he got a mouse last night! Thing is, I got up during the night, heard a bit of action downstairs, then he came up and there was more action as he brought it into the bathroom. I really wish he wouldn’t bring them upstairs, especially when they’re still alive! *shudders at the thought of him losing it and it getting into the bedroom*

Yay Comet, good wishes for Rex, hugs and good memories for Deb, and good morning all (whew! Think that covered it all) 🙂

I can’t talk about that day 12 years ago because I’ll cry. Every year I swear nothing can possibly make me cry anymore, and something always does. I try to remember than in a weird roundabout way that day led to me & Mr. K getting together.

I went to the pool today for the first time in over a year; only did 6 lengths, but it’s a start.

It’s a start indeed, Kilroy. Maybe next time you will still do 6 lenghts. Then the next time you will do 7, or 8…

Hey guys ((Deb)) so sorry about your mam Deb..

I’ll never forget that day..i was in work and ran to the shop for lunch while there I heard them announcing it all over the radio..I remember remarking to the shop assistant..wow when did they start this radio program I honestly thought it was a war of the worlds style program until the assistant said ” No this is real its happening right now!”.. I dropped everything and rushed back to work where we had tv’s (normally on music channels) I turned on the news to see the second plane hit.. Everyone came in off the street and we all stood in science and tears..I was so worried about my cousin he worked in the financial sector..

We eventually made contact with him he was ok thank God.. Many prayers to those gone and those still effected..
