*waves* to JK …. neighborhood clean up – good! …. occasionally we get some ‘unsavory’ characters stroll by, coming from downtown, but the police patrol our area regularly, so they tend to move them along … I do remember when we were back in our big house, and we were doing construction on it – one morning during an unusual cold bout, the crew came in to work, and there was a homeless guy sleeping in the port-o-john, all wrapped up in toilet paper …. poor guy, I guess it was the only place he could keep warm…. I had the guys take him to the homeless shelter downtown …. sad …

…. well, a bright and sunny day here, best get back to my inputting …. later !

Hey Av…did a good turn by sending homeless to shelter. Yup, we have one in area that offers clean bed, meals, medical asst, training to integrate back into society along w/safe shelter for moms/kids. They are one of my fave place to donate to during holidays.
If we all can just do one thing to help out it would/could be a better place…
Hey, it’s that time – heading out to purrfect patio for a few.
    C’mon Tux…aaah, this is the life…purrrr…zzzzz….

Hi litter mates – hey Deb, thanks for the links, and we do need to remind each other of the store. I think you can get anything from Amazon thru it, KM, can you confirm/clarify?
Dorry is so sweet, thank you for the cuddle!
Awww, Avery starting the baby babble, adorable!
JK, good to hear of neighborhood cleanup. JK? Um, hey Tux, don’t let her snooze too long.

Tks JK re Night Shift, just waiting for others to decide if they are ready and willing as don’t want to be by my lonesome, considering that my current night life is in effect non-existent. That n’hood situation sounds a bit scary as in did anyone suspect that malefactors lived right on your street. Then there was the meth lab in the apt bldg right across my street that got taken down, big-time police effort with sniffer goggies and all. their neighbour told me that peeps living in the apt were very nice and polite. Still cooking meth, which can in worst case scenario blow up entire bldg is a very bad plan!
Joan, Dorry sends purrs back at you as he rests on his raccoon-esque tail dreaming of the lovely Miss Leela. And if JK overnaps the staff kits can always “help” by getting out some of the Guy Fawkes firecrackers, that should wake anyone up, even the late, lamented Guy Fawkes LOL.

    Yawn…aaack…what was that…Kaboom…Crackle…kaboom!
I’m up now…oh wow, sneaking up to TDK café roof with kits:
    cats & fireworks
    Purrfect sky art!
TDK Land is the only place where it can be virtually nighttime during the day just in case of firework display!
    Wow, this is pawsome!
Hmm…think I’ll hang out for a few more rounds of kaboom fun! 😉

Loving the fireworks! Me, same as you, JK, with several of those titles describing me! (Not financially irresponsible though, thank you very much!) Eldest brother & sister well described as well. Mid-kid describes hubby rather well.

Sobering link to survival of poor kit thrown from window:
    http://www.yousignanimals.org/Justice-for-cat-thrown-100-ft-out-of-window-of-a-London-five-storey-flat-t-26&error=alreadysign#_=_
The male tabby has suffered broken legs and a collapsed lung after it was thrown 100 ft from the window of tower block in Croydon, south of London. A woman witnessed the entire scene and rushed the poor cat to the Putney Animal Hospital, where vets said it was a ‘miracle’ it survived. The poor fellow is in a very poor state of health, however. 🙁

Wanted to sign, but page not found, that irritating Error 404 msg. Will try later. Seems that animal cruelty is unfortunately a never-ending tragic story. Worse still, the so-called humans often get nothing more than a stern talking-to, if that. I’ll stop here, before I get to ranting with related unfluffiness.

Me, same as you Joan and JK as second of two. Same deal re “financially irresponsible” – I do like to shop (as all here well know LOL), but thankfully in no way headed towards the shopaholic state. Never owed money, never plan to, bills always paid on time or early.

BTW JK, I do admire what I see as your “fortitude” in not doing ‘puter stuff at home. Then again I work at home so need the tool and I do spend a lot of time in TDK-land, while managing to meet deadlines. Then again, when I was in corporate world, there is no way that I would have been able to enter Café at all. We were watched like hawks in “that place”, which trust me got as bad as it can unfortunately get, ergo my going freelance, long story short.

Once again getting ever darker outside. And promises of potential snow by wknd – not ready!!! Might get with time change program, say by March LOL.

Evening fast approaching here too. Rain on the way tomorrow.
Had to bring in Mac’s afghan but left blanket out. He will probably hunker down during rain and hopefully the timing will work that I can dry it after the rain so he is comfy.

Oyy, error 404 may be due for link was off of FB. Maybe cannot share on close site.
As the saying goes/when we were kids: “first is worst & last is t’e best”! 😉
Always been the baby of the family…now, I’m the only one…hmm, that’s a whole ‘nother set of
    purrsonality traits/LOL!

Yay 1 hour to go. Nixing the leave raking to gym stop tonight. I need some social work out time.
Than home to indoor kp with kits!
Waving to all to enjoy rest of today!
    Back on the flip, later!

    Hello!!! *Waving….
I made some hot chocolate using milk with melted Ghirardelli milk choc chips and it was really smooth and good! I love semi sweet chips too. but these milk choc ones are really tasty! I use the mini chips for choc chip cookies now. Yummy!!!
Have to figure out what to have for dinner…..?
I’m the last born of three girls and I don’t really have many things listed under LAST. Only creative and Outgoing. I guess it all depends. Interesting read though!!
Was over in PURRS and OH, my goodness! Poor Leeny! Unbelievable…… She has just been through TOO much heartache and now this.

Evening all! Finally able to sit a minute and enjoy being here! Went to the salon and I must say I’m rocking my hair once again, LOL!! She put on my base color (to color that gray, what?!) some highlights and a very cool couple of reddish chunks throughout. Trimmed just enough to hold the shape as it grows into the inverted bob, and wow, does it ever make a difference! I should be grown out finally by next month, but at least I’m happy with my hair. No more short layers for me, I just can’t do it and not look like cat hair.
Hi BB, pancakes are good for supper and so fast! Joan your soup sounds so good, I have been meaning to make some but forget about it until it’s too late.
I think it’s supposed to rain here too tomorrow, not for sure, but I just bought new wipers for my car and want to try them out, LOL!! The ones I took off lasted 3 years…I don’t buy cheap wipers anymore as I hate not being able to see when driving in the rain. So these cost me enough, but they are supposed to last the same amount of time.

Hi all, haven’t had a chance to do more than quickly skim through the Cafe posts as I have been busy this morning and more of that this afternoon.
It’s a cold wet day here and all your hot foods cooking smell great and are very enticing when I have a salad. There has been a late snowfall in the central plateau of my island with the main north-south road closed because of the snow. The chill has made it’s way to my city but relief may be here, the sun is out and everything is steaming with the warmth.
    Sorry to post and run.
