Some countries (such as Canada) have ditched the lowly penny in favour of more exhalted coinage. So purrhaps finding a penny is indeed lucky. For kits it’s simply “Show me the money.”

The lowest value coin we have here is 10c.

Yes, here there is discussion of getting rid of the 5 cent piece as well. The problem is that retailers most usually round up. And while debit cars are handy, I really want to keep the right to use banknotes and coin.

Corporate Fat Cat does, indeed, make more than moi. I wish I had enough pennies to pay at drive thru. That’s a great idea…hmmm

The lowly penny…I wish we’d get rid of it. The 2018 estimate is the cost for one penny is 1.82 cents. Nothing like American government efficiency!

Guy is a really lucky pup. Nothing happening yet. Maybe l8r.

Hello everyone. Afternoon here and heading out to the garden store. Need some plants for a couple of pots, mostly shady stuff. I may even go pick Avery up at preschool and have her help me since she was crying for me last night and this morning to the point of being inconsolable. She can help me pick out plants and help dig in the dirt. That’s always good therapy when a girl is full of tears and woe.

Guy the beagle really lucked out didn’t he? Funny how things turn out.

Jeez, I really need a pedicure too!!

Guy lives in Kensington Palace, but with 21 rooms to run around in and gorgeous gardens, he’s indeed one lucky pup!

KZ, I can relate to Avery, even though I am just that much older hehehe!

This week, these past weeks have been difficult. We tinkered with what might have been impacting my sleep etc., and did not help. Worsened some in fact. Ideally will get it sorted out next week as this is taking it out of me. 🙁 I am in a “stay out of my way” mood big-time, TDKers excluded natch!

Saw eye doc and “pink eye” is viral as guess what – peeps for the most part are lax in hand-washing and others “benefit”. So just takes it’s course, but he’s having me stop the drops and I can use eye make-up again and use my dry eye stuff plus some other towelettes if needed. But IMHO always good to check things out.

Right now I’m on hold for Rental Board agent. Last wk got nasty email from de facto landlord accusing me of making it diff for potential buyers to visit my place. Now I only got 1 request in past month and that visit took place. Seems the agent outright lied to him. Straightened landlord and agent out in my usual direct way and landlord believes me and thanked me for clarification. IMHO agent cannot find anyone interested. Not my problem. Have to get notice by end of June, 6 mos before lease ends. Now I feel re-motivated to move.

Then yest got into it with Google about gmail. The guy was unbelievably rude! And no one to actually complain to to.

On the other hand to fix a glitch I got my OS upgraded. Just have a few questions for my tech guy.

Wonder what peeps do with leftover pennies. At some point when coinage was cancelled peeps could roll them and cash them in at bank, not sure if this still works.

Anyway trying to stay a bit chill, spin class later, whether I feel better or not after … well I always feel somewhat better, so there’s that!

Good afternoon all.
Winter arrived overnight, it was a cold single digit morning that greeted us when we awoke. Snow and ice closed the main highway through the middle of my island and when the Desert Road is closed the chill flows on up to where I live. Cold, windy, occasional showers but the sun is shining so I will keep smiling.
Lagatta, once they removed the 1 and 2 cent coins we thought it would stop there but then the five cents went and there is occasional talk of the ten cent coins being dropped. I say no, it has to stop somewhere.
JK, love the story of Guy the beagle, what a wonderful story of chance decisions taking you somewhere magical.
PG, I love that grumpy faced cat and that truck pic is hilarious.
KZ, garden store, dangerous places to visit if you are like me. I bet you come back with something you didn’t know you needed until you saw it.

Awwwwwwwwww Avery wanted her grandma(what does she call you).
KJ, sorry that good sleep is still evading you, i hope you can get it sorted soon. Sigh on the pink eye. I’ve taken to using the supplied hand sanitiser wipes at the supermarket to wipe down the shopping trolley before I begin shopping. At least it will cut back on the chances of picking up something. Note to self, get flu jab soon.
Sorry that you had an issue to deal with about the de facto landlord and glad that you got it all sorted.
Anyhoo, I better get the fire reset for this evening and sort out dinner. Beef schntzel filled and rolled up with herby stuffing and baked in stock. Probably have baked potato seeing as the oven will be on and steamed green veges.
