Wednesday 17/12/2014 – It's National Maple Syrup Day (US AND Canada IMHO!)

Scary proximity to angry cats, KZ. It can be a bit nerve wrecking to have volatile clawed creatures in the house. 🙂

Hi everyone – I got a few things, done – still lots to do. I didn’t fall asleep, but didn’t move at a very past pace.
Had holidayish stuff on tv – it’s good motivation 🙂
Tree is not decorated yet, but the angel is on the top, and 2 tree skirts lay crumpled at the base – Comet likes them that way!

“skids into the Cafe” Phew! long day here too. I have my feet up and a cold ginger beer in front of me. HRH is in for the night and we’re all not long from heading to bed.
KJ, I found a lovely card from you in the letter box, thank you so much.
I haven’t had a chance to read the posts here yet but I will try to keep my eyes open and do so.
Oh AV I am looking forward to having Airy back and the family together again for Christmas and that includes KK and family too. Poor Airy is suffering from a throat infection and sounds like a cross between Kermit and Harvey Fierstein when she rings me, I think she needs some old fashioned home cooking to help her get better. Oh KK will definitely get up to mischief while up here, we always have fun. 😉 😯
We used to have maple syrup when I was little but it was fake syrup and nasty nasty. I now only buy genuine 100% maple syrup in small bottles that cost and arm & reuse the bottle when empty for making my own vanilla extract.
JK, your yard with the maple trees sounds wonderful. LOL @ pancake cat.

Got most of the gift shopping done now so I can concentrate on what food I’ll be making, getting the tree and decorations up once airy arrives. The weather definitely looks like it’s not going to play ‘nice’ for Christmas Day here so we will all be inside, not easy when you are used to hot summer weather.
