Morning Buttons, *waves*, not sure what time it is where you are though! Nothing in your teeth, they look fine 🙂 Soooo glad it’s hump day also. Need another dose of good, strong coffee after a long night of kits turf war on my bed…I think Leona actually likes Willow but she won’t give up all the growling and fussing at him. He has turned a deaf ear to it and just goes his happy-go-lucky way trying to get her to play with him, but she will have none of it. The other two toss him down, lick him and play. He does get rough so for now they can hop up on furniture to get away, however that won’t always be the case. It’s like having a toddler in the house 🙄 HELP!

Hmmm, this thread just reminded me, I gave Comet a piece of corn husk so he would get out of the way while I husked them. Wonder where it is?
I love spinach! When I was a kid, though, I’ll never forget telling a friend’s mom that I liked it and when I stayed for supper the spinach was aweful! My mom always combined chopped spinach with condensed mushroom soup, so I didn’t know anything other than creamed spinach.
Lately hubby and I have been having spinach salads.
    Woot-woot!

Morning/afternoon all. Hope everyone is having a good day. Just wanted to ask, I keep seeing and hearing the phrase “hump day” and I have no idea what it means or where it comes from? I think it must be a US term, as I’ve never heard it in the UK. In the UK “hump” can have a slightly rude/naughty meaning, so when ever I see “hump day” I always have a childish little giggle.

    Morning all!
Corn cob Joan!!! But not this – actually kit in pic looks more like tabby Mac, guess he didn’t get in on corncob share:

Sticky social wicket when to be polite one goes a bit overboard in appreciating something one detests and finds themselves served same thing on every visit LOL.
KZ, how many kits do you have? So far counted Katherine, Willow and Leona. Is this the crew? BTW Ireland is +5 hrs EST.
Well now after hours of reorganization Dorry has reclaimed his cavern under bed. But at least that will now become first go-to when he gets tricksy as Houdini kit.

OK, enough being picturesque. Time to get a move on morning!

Know the feeling KittyZ 🙂 Noodle is being a proper terror today! He can follow Nutini onto the couch now so they are constantly chasing each other, stalking eat other and swatting each other ..

I don’t know what’s gotten in to Noodle but all of a sudden he’s decided playing with the water bowl is fun! Not for me constantly cleaning up his mess!

Must remember tonight he can’t eat anything from 6pm on so he’s ready for his op in the morning ..

Also this might be a shock but I’ve never eaten spinach before! In fact I’ve only started seeing it in Irish store in the last 2 years /)

    How goes it Buttons?*waves*
Was concert good? Must be stressful for you today. BTW around what time is Noodle’s appt? We’re there for you for sure! Mopping the floor continually, def not fun! IMHO spinach (cooked) tastes a bit like boiled lettuce only way better. Fresh tastes like fresh lettuce only way better. Guess I’m not much help LOL.

    Hi KM! *waves*
So here’s “a definitive” definition of “hump day” courtesy of urban dictionary:
The middle of a work week (Wednesday); used in the context of climbing a proverbial hill to get through a tough week.
But I do know the “other” meaning of “hump” and not the one on camel’s back – I’m too much of a lady to even ponder the thought – right! LOL – big time!

Lol!! Hey KM .. Hump day was a new thing for me too .. It’s not used in Ireland either but it’s a description for Wednesday being that you’ve the worst of the week over your over the weeks hump and close to the weekend again..

That’s what I’ve always taken it to mean ..

Hey KJ the concert was great! Had a bit of a car emergency scare but managed to get AA out to fix it.. And was able to enjoy the concert then.. Noodles op is in 18 hours 🙁 I have to drop him off at 9am and they will prep him for surgery.. Not sure when I’ll be able to take him home ..

Yes KM, hump day means it’s Wednesday–over the hump of the work week (mid week) and on the downhill side towards the weekend. LOL and KJ, sure, sure I understand, and I’m waaaaay too much of a lady to explain it too, and KM it made me laugh when you said childish giggle, I do a lot of that reading things on the web, it’s like being back in the 7th grade again!! 😆

I LOVE spinach in any way shape or form, bring it on!

KJ, I have 4 indoor cats- Thumbalina, Bowtie, Leona, and Willow. 3 outside cats Maxwell, Munchkin and Katherine. Elizabeth lives up the road at hubby’s parents house, but her daughter Katherine came down to our barn to have her kittens, of which Willow is the only surviving member. Clear as mud?! LOL! I will have to dig pics out and share soon.

Glad to know the true meaning of hump day. I should have put 2 and 2 together, as I’ve only ever heard it referring to a Wednesday.
Being nearer to the weekend can only be a good thing 🙂

Yay for Noodle 🙂 thanks KM 🙂 there are gonna be so many good vibes for him 🙂 he’s being a lazy boy at the moment.. He won’t be a happy camper tonight though cause I have to withhold food from him from 6pm …

I wish I could be with him the through the whole surgery .. I have volunteered at several
Vets and witnessed plenty of complicated operations .. So it wouldn’t bother me but I wouldn’t chance it incase I disturb the vet..

    Morning KZ,
Using my fingers as math not my strong suit I get a total of seven furries!

    Hey KM,
Freddie pic recalls that other well-known music-related saying :”Frankie Says Relax” as “Frankie Goes To Hollywood”, and despite opinions to the contrary, all know what that song refers to, but I’m “too much of a lady … etc. etc” LOL
