Science and technology have brought us the Internet, ergo the TDK CafΓ©, so it’s all good. Purrhaps the kits can explain the meaning of everything in a single equation. As for what ingredients Chef Kitty is using in today’s experiments, ummm noms, couldn’t tell you, but again it’s all good.;-)

Love the ‘Cats are liquids’ (all others good, too).

The old computer that drove my scanner blew up a week ago and I’ve just got the verdict – it not only fritzed the power supply, which would have been fixable, but also the motherboard and memory. So it’s all e-waste. Scanner now connected to current computer but the generic drivers aren’t ideal. A bit of tinkering needed before I can scan and post anything.

Chemistry – that is scary. In fact, I failed chemistry and didn’t even take the course. πŸ˜†

Yesterday, I put a chunk of change to get my car running again. I saw the surgeon today and he said my knee is healing well but he’s not happy with me. He said I’m doing to much to fast and have to slow down. He doesn’t want to redo the surgery.

LilBit Guy almost got thrown across the room. He’s be running around like crazy and as I’m typing this he runs up my left leg onto my knee.
    Whine, whine, wine

    cya and have a happy~

Sorry about your computer PM. Did you give it a proper burial by throwing it out the window?

PM, sorry about your computer, motherboard and memory. Happy tinkering and I hope you can find drivers that suit your scanner.
PG, I failed chemistry too, it was the maths factor that was my downfall but then I discovered biochemistry and we just clicked.
πŸ˜• πŸ˜• πŸ˜• Be kinder to your knee, slow down. Ow ouchy on LilBit Guy running up your leg.

CuTe FeLiNeS all! I love chemistry.

Computer went to the shop for a post-mortem and will end up in their e-waste skip. No point throwing it out the window because I’ve just paid a glazier to replace a window that had cracked! The scanner will do images but won’t do OCR any more, sigh.

OH NO PM, on the computer that is toast! On the bright side–new electronics!! Just ask KJ!! πŸ˜€

Well, I have a vet appointment for my Willow this afternoon. The poor guy is miserable I think, and may have a UTI. Mr. KZ saw him pee in the bathtub this morning…waaaay out of character as in never having done it. He has been licking his privates more I’ve noticed and seems uncomfortable. I am wanting them to check him over for diabetes, or thyroid too as he is overweight and doesn’t eat any more than the rest of the cats. My poor baby! I’ll keep you posted on what I find out.

BTW, the surgeon said I can’t get any bacteria that goes into my blood which could damage the new knee so I have to prevent any scratches. This is for 12 weeks post surgery so please don’t think I’d ever hurt my kits.

Oh dear, sounds like not a great day so far in TDK-land!

KZ, hope that vet is quickly able to diagnose poor Willow.

PG, sounds like you are an impatient patient and I so understand where you’re coming from. I would never think that you would hurt your kits and often I have been stressed/vexed to the point where throwing Dorry across the room seems like a plan. Good that he doesn’t understand swearing – loudly, at least I don’t think he does.

PM sorry that your ‘puter has met its demise. πŸ˜₯ I would have considered tossing mine out of the window, but only if someone I don’t like was in its landing path. πŸ˜› I am happy with my new gear, much faster, browser now in 21st century and actually fun discovering new bells and whistles.

JK – I forgot! πŸ™ Purrhaps I’ll get the rabbit, rabbit thing done next month.

Paws up as also flunked chemistry. I do recall teacher letting me taste distilled water, which tastes like nothing. Cation hehehe!

Very bleak and November-ish outside. Just finished some work – seems that I inadvertently forgot to translate 2 paragraphs in latest project thank goodness client is understanding. Feeling just a bit drained so plan to try and chill a bit until I head on out for 6 pm spin class. Way weird coming home in the dark. Purrhaps catnap is in the plan.

Hi everyone! …. I always liked Chemistry – it’s kinda like math, in a way to me, formulas and all – I’m good with that stuff!

PG, take it easy and don’t over do! …. Mr. AV has done that and actually hindered his recovery because he agrivated the condition!

Halloween was very quiet at my house, we live in an urban area – most people go to the residential neighborhoods for trick or treating. I don’t like to buy candy anyway, cause Mr. AV will eat it and he’s suppose to be off sugar.

Yay for the new computers! …. always nice to get something newer/faster/more updated!

I wonder if MS caught the wild bunny that was hanging around her house??!

Well, time for me to finish up hump day, have a great one all!

Good afternoon – MS, Cleo guarding the punch bowl is so funny! I’ll have to remember to mention that to Miss Leela, as she likes that spot!

KJ, that last wee kit you posted looks like baby Aslan!

Sorry about the ‘puter, PM. Yes, let’s not pay the glazier twice!

You should probably listen to your doc, PG. Love the pic you posted about brain chemicals and hormone levels!

Hi JK – Rabbit Rabbit! I remembered!

I hope Willow feels better soon.

AV, my hubby will be eating the candy too!
We only had about 8 kids, but it was nice to see the neighbors in costume.

Cloudy and chilly here, much like KZ’s hood. It has been lightly raining off and on, but I got a walk in this morning without getting wet. I have some potato cheese soup brewing in the slow cooker.

The weather is funky here too. It was below freezing on Monday yet we’re at 70f/21c now. The last three weeks the weather is up/down/up/down and that doesn’t usually happen. Oh well, what can you do? Spot on about the glazier – I bet your windows look so pretty.

We don’t have many families in our neighborhood, so it was quiet.

Of course, you’re right and I’m glad you understand TDKers. I certainly don’t want to mess up my knee.

How is Willow? Heaps of white to him and you. I hear a lot of people say Rabbit, Rabbit at the start of the month but what does it mean, JK?

    Chilly and rainy out tonight!

Took a nap in pm and must have needed it. Thank goodness inner alarm clock works as I set alarm for 4 am instead of 4 pm! πŸ™„ Woke up at 4:50 somewhat refreshed and in time to make to 6 pm spin class!

JJ, the wee “graduating kitty” does look like Aslan. Have you heard from his furever peeps?

OK PG, enquiring minds … I too had no idea where “Rabbit, rabbit” superstition comes from. Here’s way too much info, courtesy of Wikipedia.

Well the vet treated Willow for a UTI, he did squeeze a few drops of pee from him and pulled some off the table into a syringe, but didn’t see any blood in it. He didn’t have enough to look at under ‘scope, but the result is the same..UTI. He gave him a shot of anti inflammatories and a shot of long lasting antibiotics and some capsules that I sprinkle on his food once a day. I have to keep an eye on him and make sure he is peeing and if he goes into the litter box that he’s not yowling. If so, he could have a blockage and that is an emergency. The poor guy was so frightened of the cat carrier, it was like putting a panther in there. Oldest dau stopped on her way home from work to help me, then ended up going with me because he was howling, Avery was upset because Willow was crying, and it was pouring rain. πŸ™„

Then when we were almost there, he pooped and it was everywhere on him. We had to pull him out in the exam room and somewhat wash him off with dry shampoo they had at the vet to get him somewhat presentable. Once we got home, dau gave him a bath and he smells and looks so much better now. My poor guy had a bad day. Now Bowtie growls at him every chance she gets. Talk about wanting to throw a cat across the room…I swear I didn’t, but I felt like it when she growled at him and upset all the other cats. 😑

    BED….it sounds like a plan!

PG, saying Rabbit Rabbit as your first words of the new month will bring good fortune, or something like that.

KJ, I took a power nap today too and it felt great! I haven’t heard from Amany since shortly after Aslan was TDK in August. Purrhaps I’ll find another baby pic to send, that could start some dialogue. I bet he’s really handsome, and big!

Oh poor Willow! And poor everyone else! No one is happy when someone has to go to the vet. I’m usually armed with a roll of paper towels and plastic bags, especially with Leela. From all of us in the JJ household, here’s wishing Willow feels better soon and that there is no blockage.

    Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ! !
My long post has disappeared. πŸ˜₯ πŸ˜₯
    Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
KZ, sorry to hear about Willow’s bladder problem. I see the vet is considering struvite crystals. His licking his bits and straining to pee sound familiar. My grandkit Lucky had those symptoms and several emergency visits to the vet to have his bladder drained to ease the pressure. Now he lives on Hills Science diet S/D canned food and special kibble all designed to minimise crystals forming again. Lucky is a happy cat now. I hope Willow feels better soon.
It is an overcast but very warm day here with a good breeze and rain forecast for tomorrow so I am heading into the garden to plant out tomatoes and peppers.

It’s always the long posts isn’t it, MS?

Glad you’re feeling spritely, KJ and JJ.

Miss Gaea was diagnosed with crystals when she was about a year old. She was on so Urinary SO. She was about a year old but after 8 years, she decided she didn’t like it so I switched to a different type of food. I hope Mr. Willow is feeling better. My kits do the hissing thing when one comes back from the vet.

I found a vegan recipe you might enjoy:
    Zucchini Patties

    2 cups grated zucchini
Zucchini With Italian Style Tomato Sauce or
Picked and packed fresh in tomato sauce.
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/4 cup chopped onion
    1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese salt to taste
2 tablespoons vegetable oil Add all ingredients to list

    Prep
In a medium bowl, combine the zucchini, eggs, onion, flour, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, and salt. Stir well enough to distribute ingredients evenly.
Heat a small amount of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drop zucchini mixture by heaping tablespoonfuls, and cook for a few minutes on each side until golden.

Poor Willow. And I feel for all of you having to deal with the boy’s upset and reaction.

BTW I’m a srs loser *smacks self on head*. Somehow forgot to include “Rabbit, rabbit” link that explains it in srs detail. Although bringing oneself luck is good enough. Nonetheless, here it is:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabbit_rabbit_rabbit

And I think that I’ll head off to bed and let the rain lull me to sleep.
