Celebrate National Yo-Yo Day than by showing off skills such as “shooting the moon” or “walking the dog”. Then there’s the single “Yo”. 😉

Having never mastered the yo-yo, guess I’ll just have to stick with “Yo” hehehe.

July approaches – will Justin make good on his election promise to legalize the herb? Canadians await details! Would I even try it? Hmmm …

Good morning – haven’t seen the cybermobile in ages…
The times they are a-changing, eh, KJ? Guess we’ll see. Our state governor wants to legalize recreational weed, but he’s running into a lot of red tape. Medical weed is legal though.
Planning on planting marigolds today. The groundhog ate all my sunflowers and miscellaneous wildflowers, and some of my cucumbers. Saw the rascal running into Star’s shelter. I rapped on the side and he rushed out only to run inside the one Huey uses!
I haven’t heard my dad’s voice in my head in a while, but as soon as I muttered, “that damn groundhog!” I ‘heard’ him say the same thing! Groundhogs tested his garden security tactics for years!
Oh and Comet wants to try a yo-yo but it will be supervised and probably short-lived, as he can’t resist eating string. He will have to settle for yelling “Yo!”

Dorry would love to swing a yo-yo but I’m afraid that “inadvertently” he’d aim for my head. 😮

Kit in top pic who’s all “tied up” has markings like Dorry!

JJ, I always thought that groudhogs were sorta cute, but I guess that if one has a garden they are a pest. This callie agrees.

Coolish out but I can stay in until class later. And chill indoors just a bit.

Windows are wide open and cooling breezes everywhere…cats don’t have to fight for a window today! Another gorgeous June day where the sun is blazing and the humidity is low. Pollen counts high though so I’m taking my allergy meds!

Peso would love a yo-yo but he’s just to crazy about toys and he and Willow would surely fight over it. He had two mice in my slippers this morning and of course his birdie was on the steps. He’s really a funny little cat and places toys randomly around where people he loves sit.

Yes, times are a changing and people are fighting about medical and recreational marijuana because that’s just what peeps do…lately anyway it seems nobody can agree on anything. They need to take a look back at the prohibition days and what all that entailed. Now people can drink all they want but just can’t drive while they’re doing it, except they still do. I don’t like being around drunk people (even happy drunk ones) but people who smoke weed aren’t obnoxious…at least the ones I’ve seen. 😆

I never learned the yo-yo. My nephew does all those tricks and has tried to show me but I end up like the kit in the first pic. I know you have raccoons but groundhogs, too? That’s living in the NJ country. When I was growing up (in the boonies of New Mexico), I never saw groundhogs. Peso wants you to know that it’s playtime! 😆

We have an organization that supports recreational marijuana and when they put it to the State government, it passed. Not on the first try but it did pass. It is hot and dry and going to be Ugh. 😕

Yes, driving (or cycling…) using machinery – on a farm you know how dangerous that is – on the job and other situations requiring an utterly sober brain.

I do enjoy occasionally having celebratory suppers with wine with friends – perhaps slightly happy-tipsy but not at all falling down drunk, and NEVER driving or cycling afterwards. Always public transport or taxi (we are all boomers and none of us get unsafe to wait for a bus). My work requires my full attention, only drug allowed caffeine in coffee or tea forms.

People who are only stoners just get wasted and are rarely violent or aggressive, but the problem nowadays is that there is a lot of multiple-substance use and abuse. And there is a new menace: texting while driving (including motorcycles), cycling, walking, skateboarding. Statistically, as lethal is doing those things drunk, stoned, high on other things…

Happy muggy afternoon all! ….. it’s a steam pit here – rained on/off all day, with temps at almost 90! You can imagine the steam/condensation that puts in the air …

I was fairly adept with the yo-yo in my youth, haven’t picked one up in years, but probably could still manage a trick or two.

Yes, I do use my wine bags for things other than wine – they are great when I go to the farmer’s market, I can put all sorts of fresh veggies in the sections, and jars of the local honey …

So dinner tonight is a comfort casserole (one of Mr. AV’s favorite) – it’s my spin on chicken pot pie, but not make with all that crust – same flavors, lots of veggies and chicken, and just a sprinkling of cracker crumbs mixed with a little parm cheese and fresh parsely on top – much healthier, and sauce made from fat free milk. I’ll pair it with a fresh spinach salad 🙂

Nice thing is, I can portion up the leftovers and freeze them to have another night, and to meals-on-wheels for the elderly mothers …

Groundhogs are indeed cute, and funny to watch. They’re one of the critters we love to hate!
I don’t have any tolerance for drunk people. Tipsy sure, but not falling down drunk.
Not quite adept with the yo-yo, eh JK?
Dinner sounds delicious, AV! I haven’t made a pot pie in a while, hmmm…

One of obvious things I’ve noticed when we get stoned is no one wants to do anything but sit around and watch MST3K. Of course, you have to turn the TV on. 😆 Music is good, too. I never had this fun when drinking. I have a craft beer ever now and again.
