Word has it that today brings an unprecedented opportunity to give a great, big hug to one’s local newspurrson. Or not.

I was able to log-in and here I am.

Hope that others are equally successful, else I could very well be talking to myself! 😯

Srsly pouring out and the boots that I so carefully polished last nite are going back in closet in lieu of srs high rainboots. Not quite hip waders and they have polka dots! And will take the umbrella that could cover a family of 4!

Boots sorta this style – ‘cept mine have turquoise/blue polka dots – IMHO protective, warm – and pretty! 🙂

Seems fewer and fewer peeps get newspaper delivered. I once had this service, but as paper was left on entry counter as delivery purrson could not get into locked bldg, no point.

Related to this, N told me that my dining suite was just left in her bldg entry. Buzzer not pressed, sig not requested! Anyone could have simply walked off with this huge pkg. As expected I called Wayfair and they were most apologetic and was advised to also state complaint to UPS. N will be having a “chat” with UPS – it will not be pretty!

Greetings from windy New Jersey! KJ, those boots are so da#n cute! I love my leopard print rain boots, though they do not have a sensible heel.
We get a local newspaper delivered that comes on Sundays and Wednesdays. It’s changed so much over the years, moreso recently when it was bought out. No more checking the Trends to see who got married, who died, who got busted, birth announcements, who had a birthday, etc! Even the paper is super light, reminds me of the old air mail paper. At least the articles that remain are well written.
It’s not overly cold, but as I mentioned, quite windy. Leela is content with her box of summer.
    I’m spring cleaning. 🙂

Tks JJ! Leopard print boots sound like so much fun, almost makes one like the weather that necessitates them LOL.

I do like our local weekly newspapers that are left in the entry with flyers which I do peruse for buys.

Just got home from gym and was “accompanied” by gale force winds and snow!!!! D**n it! Not fun and so good to be in!

Now when I went out earlier today srs rain had stopped. Which I guess is the reason why I left my humongous umbrella on the bus. 🙁 Hope that someone benefits from it’s shelter.

Peeps are still having probs logging in. I’m going to advise KM. ‘Cause the Café kits miss the regular hoomins!

    Good afternoon all.
My newspaper deliverer will NOT be getting a hug from me either. After years of almost perfect delivery we got a new deliverer and the papers were not put in the letterbox but thrown at the house, under the car, down the drive tearing the paper. Sometimes on rainy days it was wrapped in plastic in such a way that the rain pooled in the plastic and seeped into the paper. I complained and nothing changed so I cut back my days to three. Less news but also less stress for me.
Nice rain boots KJ, or as we call then here gumboots. Mine are plain black farming style boots. I would love a fancy pair and there are plenty for sale but as most are made in Asia you need a tiny narrow foot to fit them and my feet don’t fit that category – or boots.
JJ, I like checking the ‘hatched, matched, and dispatched’ too in the paper.
Wow KJ, i hope that gale force wind was behind you on the way home and helping. Sorry about your loss of your umbrella. So annoying when that happens isn’t it.
It is a super day here, sunshine and light breeze, expected to hit 25C which is way high for this time of year. It must be pretty warm as I have resorted to putting the fan on again.

MS, “Mah Colum” – great minds … again! 😉 I like the word gumshoes. Like in detective novels.

I do have other umbrellas, just feel foolish having left it, despite announcement (I was at the end of the bus route) for peeps not to forget any of their belongings on bus. 😳

Would be nice if newspaper came with an adorable orangie tucked up inside! Local paper does have section of kits/dogs to adopt. Today’s edition featured a sweet 6 mos. old sorta tuxie. Hmmm … But I sense that Dorry’s reaction to a “friend” would be “not in this world, grrrl!”

Monday, landlord’s real estate guy is coming to take photos of my place. And while the place will be as orderly as per usual, I’m for sure not doing any “staging.” Hope that Dorry doesn’t “photobomb” the pics. 😉

A Newspurrson? Sir or Madam, Mr or Ms. In some cultures they are are Dr if they have a Phd, but in English that term is reserved more for medical doctors. In Italy anyone with a graduate degree (or assumed to have one, i.e. talks eddicated) gets “Dottore” or “Dottoressa”. A friend who is a law professor gets a full-on “Avvocato dottore”. It’s a bit much.

Someone I once worked for was tickled by letters from Germany addressing him as Herr Doktor Professor. (Yes, he was a physics professor.) A newspurrson? How about Hey you!
