My 5 week old eats a slurry of kitten Canned food and KMR Second Step our of a bowl.

How often should I give him a bottle? And should I give him the regular KMR in the bottle or the second step KMR?
    Thanks!!!!

Hi Kelsey, I never used the second step KMR, don’t even know what it is, so I guess it wouldn’t matter. Just give him a bottle of whichever, when he wants it, and the slurry too. This will teach him how to eat wet food and he will get the nutrition he needs. You can gradually increase the wet food in the slurry mix as he gets older until you have reached the point where he is eating all wet. Goat’s milk is the best alternative to KMR and it’s nutritionally complete for kittens. You can get it in the refrigerated milk section or in the baking aisle in cans. The canned is condensed so add water 1 to 1.
