I love “grandma got run over by a reindeer” but my favorite all-time is Luciano Pavarotti singing “Ave Maria”. that one is sooooooo beautiful that it brings tears to my eyes every time…but he rots at singing “jingle bells”…

    No offense meant by picture:
    Happy Holiday with Harmonica

    Just a question.
Usually after Christmas the carols & tunes abruptly stop 12-26 on the radio etc.
Are you happy with that usual occurrence or would you like tunes to continue up until NY Eve?

That’s been a pet peeve of mine for ages! So the holiday songs start around Thanksgiving, which is fine, since the stores are gearing up as well. However, do “the holidays” not include ringing in the New Year? Do we not visit with family and friends between Hanukkah, Christmas and New Years? Do the decorations not stay up until at least New Years Day? So why does the music of the season abruptly cease on December 26th? I think at least a generous sprinkling of holiday tunes should stay on radio stations through New Years Day. That’s my two cents – ok rant over! ๐Ÿ™‚
    Happy New Year everyone!

Not fluent in German, but know enough to get through this song. Enjoy!

Agree with your comment Joan – few tunes throughout the day would be acceptable!

None taken re Harmonukkah JK! Like punny stuff! Would not want to try to play the thing though! ๐Ÿ˜‰
I for one am glad that radio stations are back to usual. I like listening to talk radio when going to sleep – esp “Coast to Coast” with all the “interesting” topics and callers ie alien abduction, spirit possession and whatnot, and there was nothing available locally, so had to Plan B it with radio station on TV as NPR, not end-of-the-world stressful though.

I agree with you too Joan about the Christmas songs, but seriously around here they only play the same few over and over until I am batty.
