See you on the flip side, JK – glad you enjoyed the virtual coffee (and the real stuff, no doubt!).
Rain has started to fall here in the Garden State. We’re supposed to get a lot overnight, which is a relief to those of us with wells running dangerously low. It should help the reservoirs as well. Flash flooding will be a concern if the rain falls too fast and heavy, as the ground is so dry it won’t have a chance to absorb it. Of course, if it floods where I live up on the mountain, everyone is in trouble!

Good afternoon all, it’s sunny and warm here today and I am busy sowing seeds for summer. HRH Shadz is stalking around outside checking to see who has been across her territory overnight.
AV, poor Venus having an altercation with herself, what a kerfuffle that must have been for you all.
Shadz doesn’t get her nails caught because she is always sharpening and keeping them short by using the outside steps as a scratching post.
Wow Deb, a fox and then a bobcat, busy day on the cameras.
LOL at Leela flicking stink-eye at you JJ.
    Hi JK.
Oh Leo, there is no way you can avoid the nail clipping even if you think you hid the clippers really well.
Oh Abby, the mat by the door ! ! Are you after attention after the kerfuffle lastnight? Poor Meowmy.
Hey CGM, welcome to the Cafe !
Furballs ! I am expecting some any time now as Shadz is moulting like crazy with the warmer weather arriving. I am brushing her at least twice a day at the moment to try and avert yakkage.
JJ, hope the rain is gentle and steady with no flooding. We are getting some in the next couple of days so I am busy putting natural fertiliser on my gardens so it gets washed in.
Jcat and Libs? Have I missed something?
Oh my, so sad now. Poor Jcat (hugs) Libs has passed over The Bridge to the Meadow. Feeling a little teary now.

Well Joan, it’s raining here now, but just a gentle rain and we’ve had sprinkles off and on all day, not a good soaker like we need. But ours is coming from the west and I’m wondering if yours is coming from the big Atlantic thingy I keep seeing on the Weather Channel. Hope you don’t have floods, that just doesn’t help anybody!

We just had quite a storm! Within a 1/2 hour we got hail, heavy rain, hail, tapers to light rain. The temperature dropped 12 degrees in that time. The hail bouncing off the awning had all the fur balls hiding under the bed.

Thanks for reminding me to give my babies some laxatone and to trim their claws tonight. But first, I need an evening cuppa of joe.

Wow PG all that in the one storm, it meant business.
Had a great coffee related vid but can’t seem to post it without other things tagging along.

JJ that is so sad about Libby passing over the Bridge. All my thoughts are with Jcat and Millie and the moment.

Oh sorry, MS, I didn’t read your post thoroughly and I see you saw the news about Libs. So sad.
We had some rain earlier but the heavy stuff is coming. We’re getting a big pile of rain from the southwest tonight. At some point, we may get something from the storm out in the Atlantic, but they don’t know what it’s going to do yet.
Hubby went to the farmer’s market and brought home scallop, shrimp & crab cakes and bacon & cheese pierogies. I threw everything in the fry pan and it came out delicious!

Yum on the dinner tonight JJ! Scary stuff at your house PG. I think the rain is over for here, wish it would rain to orrow but don’t think it’s in the cards. So very sorry to hear about Jcats dear cat. Love and hugs to you Jcat. 🙁

OMG JJ, your dinner sounds superb. If you had posted that earlier I would have had the cybermobile out and revved up and been at your place in a flash. I love seafood.
Just enriched the garden with sheep pellets(compressed dried sheep droppings) and some blood and bone. Now it may rain gently to wash those through the soil.
Sigh, I think the birds are getting into the top of the chimney, so far none have got stuck and come down into the firebox but it will happen and then it will be fun(sarcasm) getting them out.

I’ll let hubby know he should go to the market next week and get enough to share, MS!
To get rid of the birds in your chimney (glad they’re not bats in your belfry, hehe!) could you blast some loud music up there? I’ve heard that scares critters out. However, now that I think about it, once they get into the firebox it would be difficult to open the door to put a speaker in and not have the bird fly out and into your house. Oh so fun. We haven’t had a bird fly around the house in a long time, perhaps going back to when Shaddo brought a not-so-dead blue jay in. *sigh* With all his mischief, I sure do miss that boy. And his brother Jiggs too!
PG, just saw that storm you had earlier, yikes!

    Back in!
JJ, condolences to Jcat on loss of Libby. 🙁
Trying to catch up, probably not going to. A special day indeed. The kit in the first pic is the feline version of KJ, almost always doing several things at once. And doing it fueled by coffee, of course!
2 more holidays next week and then days off in Spring.
Well, one tightened screw short of finishing my dream closet. Do not know how but I installed awesomely heavy shelves myself. Friend/hazel was most willing to help as Friday, but ultimately required someone to fit into crawl space between shelving of 8 inches to drill in brackets, and that would have had to be me. I am bruised everywhere and yesterday felt like I’d done a workout marathon. I am so not made for this. So one screw is a tad loose and spent too much time tonite trying to make it fit. Tomorrow I’ll pick up some plumber’s tape and wrap it around this should do it. Pics maybe, anyway I now have purrfect storage for the sweaters with plenty of room for those yet to come.
Summer-esque today, tomorrow temps plummet to real Fall. Please don’t anyone throw shoes at me, (OK, if they’re way chic and size 5 LOL) but I like Fall, chance to wear sweaters and tights and closed shoes. Each season has it’s benefits fashion-wise hehehe.
Oops looks like 2 Cafés are open for tomorrow. 😮 Opened mine as habitual. Fates can decide whether peeps stop by either or both! Sorry lagatta!

I’m very sad about Libby; I don’t know what else to say. My cat is so old that I also live in dread, but am determined to enjoy every day with him.

    Hugs and purrs.

As for coffee, a friend gave me a Bialetti Mukka Elettrica she bought some years ago and never used. It is quite the gadget! I have made some cappuccini with it, but usually just make a regular coffee (a rather long espresso) as I’m allergic to cows’ milk and don’t always have goats’ milk or the special soya drink that foams “Barista Blend”.

I love coffee; I live in Montréal’s Little Italy (Petite-Italie – Piccola Italia) and there are very good, reasonably priced cafés nearby.

But no coffee in the evenings; I can’t do that any more.

As for closets, I live in an old flat; renovated but with the very small closets of the turn of the last century. Worse, my hot-water heater is in my bedroom closet, and “a spa for moths”; they destroyed a beautiful loden wool coat and some other things I had hanging there. Anything woollen has to go in drawers or in my even smaller hall closet. Oh, I have beautiful hardwood floors and a lot of light, as well as two balconies front and rear. Just have to be ruthless about clearing out the closets.

Lagatta, your Renzo reminds me of Jinx. Jinxie was around before I was born, and lived to approx. early 20s. Shaddo came into our lives when hubby and I were married about 1 1/2 years, and Jiggs a year later. When we lost both of them in 2008, we were married 19 years, making life without them as a family a big adjustment, to say the least. Those geezers drove me nuts with their medical, emotional and physical needs, but I wouldn’t have traded them for all the kittens in the world!
