Ride the Wind Day is a carefree day to soar above the earth. Catch a ride with the breeze, or float along slowly like a gentle, late summer cloud (or in Southern Hem early Spring cloud.)

And another definition/pronunciation of wind – because why not:

    Crossover pic –

Thanks to all sending Healing Energy and White Light for me.
I loved Summer Breeze when it was first released, even tried to buy the sheet music.
    Nighty night all.

Just caught up on yesterday’s cafe. Saying a prayer for your good health now, MS.

Glad your kitties’ vet visit went well…or as well as can be expected, PG. I’ve been putting off taking mine in…should have done it this month. I’m just not up for being told they need a couple of thousand dollars in dental work again. Ignorance is bliss.

Wind…experienced lots of it living in the plains states for a decade. Love the FEbreese pun. Chemistry cat cracks me up.

Long but good day yesterday. Traffic was about what I expected taking son to classes. It took half the time in the middle of the afternoon when I went to go pick him up. He had a good day…then had first soccer practice in the evening…lots of busyness. Younger son has a trial lesson with a violin teacher on Thursday.

Morning all! …. I love carefree days, don’t get many 🙂
MS, continued prayers for your health issues
EC, sounds like Son is settling in nicely with school, traffic is what it is …. always a PIA to me!
Seems to me like the Vets now a days always want to do ‘dental’ work for $$$ …. Abby has had her last ’bout with that …. I’ll never put her through that again!
    Have a great Tuesday all!

Good Tuesday everyone! Never made it to post yesterday, but did read. This many people in my house is a test of endurance–for all of us. Plus one granddaughter has a sinus infection and missed two days already of school. I guess that’s what happens though when you start in the middle of the freaking month of August. Dau’s surgery is healing nicely though and she is feeling really well. The problem is she just can’t do anything such as lifting, etc. as it will cause setbacks. This is how it is with us women, we don’t like to sit still for very long.
MS, continued prayers for your recovery and longterm health.

I was having hip pain again, but not like it was before. I think my body is trying to adjust to the initial pain, and I felt like I had a pinched nerve and it was shooting down my leg to my knee. Anyway, yesterday and today I am pretty much pain free again. Being able to move without pain is such a blessing, give thanks if you have that, if you don’t–go get a shot
because the sedation is worth it!! 😛

Getting used to this new format, like it more and more. It’s much faster too I think!

Hi everyone – love the “I’m still more fabulous than you” pic!
“Summer Breeze” is a great earworm! Glad the v-e-t visit is over with, PG.
Sending healing and comforting vibes to you, MS.
Glad sons had a good day yesterday, ECB. Nice to not have any traffic surprises too.
Happy to hear dau is feeling well and healing nicely, KZ, and that you are feeling better after that shot.
Yesterday was quite a breezy day, today not as much. I like to stop and look at the various levels of wind in the air as they hit trees of different heights.

co-incidentally just across street from venue is super discount shoe store. Ergo the new pr of Clarks coffee brown snakeskin-look leather peep toe wrap sandals with very nice heel for srsly low price now happily ensconced in shoe closet. Excuse is that they replace totally diff style of similar shade that after many yrs had to go. Like I need an excuse hehehe.
OK, so 2 more theme related earworms:
    This one I love:

This one I’m not such a fan – but very apropos:

    Good morning all.
Thank you for you Positive Vibes and Healing Energy. I am feeling a little more human this morning which is great. Hope to get scan results back today.
ECB, chemistry cat cracks me up too. Glad son had a good first day. Hope the violin lesson for junior son goes well. I have just recalled my first flute lesson, teacher used to tipple a lot and demonstrated how to blow flute. Flute then reeked of alcohol. I never went back for any further flute lessons. Yuk ! ! !
    🙄 😮
AV you are quite correct about the vets now wanting to add on dental work to a check up. I think that it is something they have found needs to be done with the modern foods we feed out animals and if it costs $$$$ then that’s a happy coincidence – for them. I have to say since Shadz has had her teefs looked at and cleaned or removed she has been in better health, although I can’t say the same for our bank account.
KZ, if it’s not one thing it’s another. Sorry it all happens at once for you. Good to hear daughter is healing well. Poor granddaughter, sinus infections are not at all nice. I went to a pain lecture recently and I seem to remember something about your body becoming used to pain and when it goes away your mind still expects that pain to be there and gives pain signals. Hope it sorts it out soon for you. LOL about the sedation.
JJ, I agree about the earworm, Summer is something for me to look forward to at the moment. Spring is only days away(Yikes and Meegz birthday) although Spring here is normally wet and cold.
JK, love the kitty with the tp. Brings back a memory of finding 2 year old daughter with the roll neatly uravelled into the toilet bowl. I think children might be easier to train to not do that. Thank goodness Shadz hasn’t shown any interest in the tp roll.
KJ, so glad your appointment went well and then to discover a super discount shoe store.

Since TDKers are brilliant in all ways, does anyone know what this piece on my lovely indoor A/C is called. The piece that we hope is just wanting a good cleaning and not mouldy. I can call a place tomorrow and Mr. A/C is coming Sunday, but I would like to be informed. The coil shaped corrugated thingy is not I assume the correct name ❓ Looks worse than actual. Just a bit of dust and closet is dark in A/C area.

Yes, what MS said, a flexible vent (pipe) of some type. I have one like that on my dryer going from the dryer to the outside.

Glad you are feeling a bit better, MS. Hope you feel even better tomorrow.
KJ, “Windy” is one of my favorite songs! I had the 45 back in the day. “Ride Like the Wind” was the first song that came to mind when I saw today’s café topic.
I concur with PG and KZ, that’s a flexible vent for the dryer. You cut it to the size needed.
Brother and I reminisced today about family vacations at the Jersey Shore. Such simple times; somehow the whole family fit into that wee bungalow, plus a friend or two from time to time. No a/c, no tv, outdoor shower. If it wasn’t sunny, the water tank didn’t heat up. Didn’t matter much, we were at the shore! We had such freedom, but never looked for our found trouble. It was all about hanging out on the beach or going to that little place to play pinball or shopping at the 5 & 10 on rainy days. Brother and I were the daredevils in the family, I guess. The water/waves at the Jersey Shore are fairly rough, and to brother and I the rougher the better. We took red flags as guidelines. Of course, we knew what we were doing, for dad taught us well on how to swim in the ocean. There was a family who vacationed the same time as us and stayed at a bungalow on the same lane. They were from Germany. Olaf and Karina were my beach buddies for years! Good times.

Tks guys! At least now I know more of the lingo. And found equivalent in French, which is one of the A/C guys 2 languages, the other is Arabic which I speak not at all. Plus I did a little more rsch and if a new one is req’d it’s not exactly mega bucks. Which I will not be paying in any case. All this unpaid for work that I am doing I plan to if possible factor in when rent increase negotiations come into play.
KZ, the site is def much faster! 🙂

FYI-if you can contact the A/C guy, let him know he’ll need to bring a new flexible vent hose. That way you won’t have to wait for him to get one.
