…. interesting take on HP, EC! ….. now I may have to change my mind and buy it! ….. Dau wants to read it too, and she’s coming this weekend.

New HP sounds like something that would interest me. But would prob not get to read it anytime soon as there’s prob long reservation list at library.
Well kits are getting good airtime tks to Katy Perry’s “Katy Kat” collection (and yes I replay the ads that I usually remote through.) Latest one features Basement Cats, with blue eyes (Photoshop?) Others feature Ceiling Cats and variety of other kitties. Pkgs feature kits too. And the look is exactly my look! Which I will rsch on how to master via INet. Just bought me entire new eye-makeup as f/u to conjunctivitis fiasco. Makeup that I buy is at chain pharma and via weekly sale, IMHO it’s all the same anyway. But the ads are fun if you get to check them out. *Should try to get Dorry into show biz.*

Hi everyone – the golf piccies are fun and great crossover pics too!
MS, if you thought you heard an extra set of paws overnight, it was Comet. He heard ‘mouse in the house’ and went running, not bothering to inform Leela or Mac, both of whom would have liked to go mouse hunting too. He doesn’t seem satisfied, no catch? PG, gotta love the stink eye we get when we evict the prize catch. Oh, lizards, Deb? They are not very common here; would not be happy with one coming in the house, much less climbing the walls! Shaddo once brought in a live bird. That was entertaining, for Shaddo, for he watched us as we coaxed the bird out the door.
Happy Birthday, ECB! Glad it fell between the house cleaning days and you get to put your feet up and read HP and do a bit of yoga.
Nice to have dau and sil in for the weekend, AV. If it’s a traditional wedding, they’ll get to dance that couples dance, and will be among the first to have to leave the dance floor. It’s the dance where at the end the longest-wed couple are the only peeps left dancing.
With this late post I’ve missed JK. Hint for KJ, there are no cat’s eyes looking at you, they’re closed! I never did find the happy pea…
TM, the HP kitty is adorable!
Funny story about the mouse in your kitchen, KZ! I can picture the whole thing, with the addition of a wee dress and glasses!
KJ, your ‘do sounds kewel. You’re gonna look bada$$ when it’s where you want it. That Tallulah looks like my Mama Cat!
Today started out grey but is now sunny. Of course, mom is bundled up and appears to look colder as she looks at brother, sister and I in our summer clothes!
Thank you for the kind comments for sister. She has lost other fosters, but this one has hit her hard.
As I type this, hubby went outside and Dewey wandered in! Wonder if he’ll help me make dinner?

Tks for hint JJ! Purrhaps third time’s the charm! So wee kit is on left hand pile o’ wood just next to middle pile, like halfway down? One would think that I had nothing better to do and purrhaps one would be right LOL.
Wonder what Dewey would make for dinner? Or could be that he wants to share your dinner. Best to put out an extra place setting. 😉
Yeah, I look ever so bada$$ now, so 3 inches longer and who knows? And the more or less usual cat eye makeup as further enhancement. BTW Katy Perry and I share the same birthday. Which means nothing much at all as so did Picasso and my drawing talents are sorely lacking, and I’m being generous about this.

KJ – I think you’re going the long way round for the cat in the logs! But if you keep going around, and then do the same inside your circle – I think you may find your prey. Lovely colour, by the way.

    😆

P.S. August birthdays . . . some of my nicest friends are Leos, including Rincewind (3rd) and my Mum (16th). I even got married in August!

    Have a wonderful day EC-

Speaking of bugs in the house-a grasshopper came in when I opened the backdoor. It had the audacity to land right on LilBit. It’s not alive anymore.

My BFL’s b-day is Aug. 14th. Gifted her with early present as pr of sandals that she admired but dithered about buying for herself. Had I waited they would probably have been gone, and she’s been able to wear them all summer.
After 4th attempt, CWS, I think I give up. Down near left hand corner I feel certain that I see a sleepy kit with a nice tail. Purrhaps a shade of gray (one of the famous 50.) I hope that there’s a prize involved, even if it’s only not feeling like a total loser.
Well PG, grasshopper should have hopped back outdoors when he had the chance. And now I’m recalling that 70s show “Kung Fu” where David Carradine was referred to as “Grasshopper.” Whatever.

Dewey promptly went outside, so he didn’t assist with the making of fettuccini. However, a little while ago I realized I left some food outside and discovered mama raccoon and 2 babies helping themselves. Upon my turning on the light, the babies took off, but the mama kept turning and giving me the stink eye. Then a couple of cats showed up and Dewey came back inside. He’s been in for almost an hour and has made himself comfy on the futon.
Hmm, I’ve got an anniversary this month too!

Hi all, it’s been a busy morning hunting a mouse and a caterpillar – both on the loose. We found the caterpillar but not the mouse despite moving all furnishings away from the walls. HRH spent the late evening stalking the room sniffing multiple areas and she has popped in several times today to look but is loosing interest. I will be deploying the human traps this evening but we don’t know which room the mouse is in now.
KJ, LOL at Dorry finding other indoor games. Knowing my little madam she would be up for anything. 😮 I have had plenty mouse experience and even rather like the little critters but preferably not ‘loose in the hoose’.
Deb, I had no idea that Kitty invited the ‘neighbours’ inside for you to chase. How thoughtful – NOT !
ECB, Happy Birthday ! ! Have a wonderful day.
Forty five ! You’re a spring chicken. You did have a busy time 16 years ago, first a wedding and then your birthday. I did the same thing many more years ago with five days between birthday and wedding.
Wheeeeeeeee AV, daughter and SIL back, how lovely. Airy messaged to say she has booked a long weekend flight home for her birthday later in the year. That will mean hot pools and shenanigans, I am looking forward to it.
JK. love the cat in the woodpile pic. Found the cat, but us cat lovers have an edge I believe.
KZ, sorry about the morning choke. I just pick them up by the tail too and if they are really cute I pop a finger under their belly but away from the toothy bit. I pop them on the boundary with the neighbours so the mouse has a choice to go to a cat free area.
AWWWWWwwwwwww love the story of the remodelling and the tiny mouse bathing in the ribbon of the broom. So cute.
The first farrmhouse we moved into the mice had got into the walls of the electric stove and removed the insulation material, there was a pile of it behind the oven, they all ran away the first time we turned the oven on and it got too warm for them. They were also behind the old fashioned coal range but departed when the fire was lit in that. Another farm house had tongue and groove ceiling that sloped down and a mouse had swiped one of my walnuts from a supply I had in a cupboard and somehow got it into the ceiling. We could hear it bump bump bump the walnut up the roofline over the wood joints. When it was almost at the top we bumped the ceiling under it and listened as the walnut noisily bumped all the way down the the wall. That mouse made many attempts to get that walnut home. I can’t remember if it ever did.
Awww KJ you big softee, saving the ladybird. I save them too and put them on my citrus trees to control pests. Pretty neighbourhood Torti.
JJ, I felt an extra body snuggle down on the bed in the night. HRH was up against my back and there was another cat near my feet, that must have been Comet on mouse duty.
PG, I couldn’t help chuckling about the grasshopper. Sad but that’s what happens.
KJ, try lifting your eyes to find the kitty.
JJ, raccoons ! It seems to be a day for bugs and critters.

I surrender! I yield! 🙁 My prey-finding skills are not as sharply honed as I’d assumed. I have not been able to find that cat hiding in logs. The only kit that I’ll be finding tonight is Dorry. And he (if he so chooses) and I are headed off to bed.

Try looking at the central pile, just below the top. Head to the right of photo.

    And . . . goodnight!

OMG!!! Tks CWS! That kit is most Cheshire-like. I feel certain that I’ll sleep better having finally found it. My day is now complete. 😀

It’s hard to sleep when your mind is still trying to work out the answer! And that cat is beautifully camouflaged there.

    Nightie-night!
