    Yup, I knew the safe house still exists…daughter went there a year or so ago…it is such a fun place. Yup, I also knew Gimbels was long gone…my Grandma used to shop there alot, and brought home yummy French potato salad and liver sausage 🙂 from their deli.

    Mitchell Street has more Hispanic Businesses now but Holzmann Furs is still there!

    Gone as Gimbels, The Grand with their fun hats to try on, Woolworths, Goldmanns, Hills & we must not forget Quality Candy for their whip cream eggs at Easter along with other Holiday treats!

    Awww…well, you can always head down to brewtown tonite! There is a Mardis Gras parade in Riverwest/my neighborhood and a very nice cafe just a few blocks away as the Centro Cafe/tres chick on a budget!

    Just got home from picking up my car from the shop, it looks so pretty and shiny now. So its time to hit the rack and catch a nap 🙂

    Pot Plant Owl

    Heard Pappa calling again last night, followed by a light thud from the balcony as Pot Plant Owl landed on our table. Woke up to mess / soil on the balcony floor. Who’s going to clean that up, PPO?

    Hi Deb, glad your car is back and looking ll pretty shiny and undented. Ours is still all bashed and bent and under a tarpaulin. We have heavy rain forecast too so I hope the tarp can keep the rain out.

    Hi BB, still waiting to hear from the other persons insurance company. We don’t know if it’s fixable but the cost of repair may be more than the car is worth so it may be a right off. You just don’t expect to have you car rear ended while it’s stationary in your own driveway and for it to career through the garage doors into your other car(one small dent). Weird indeed.

    Jean, I might be coming to Milwaukee on Thursday with FF. I don’t have any work yet so I thought since he is going to some warehouse to get some supplies for his house that I could ride along and entertain him.

    Comet apparently missed me a lot today; I got a ton of leg rubs, which are more Leela’s thing. Cats might have a sense of time because hubby said that when I put in a super long day he cries for me (can I get a group “AWWW!!!”).

    Hey guys!…… 3 days and counting til ‘no more that place’……..

    ……… MS, hope the insurance covers everything!…. have had numerous ‘issues’ with various claims on car and home incidents here, hopefully NZ red tape isn’t so bad 🙂

    ……. hey/good evening/morning everyone!…. I’ve missed posting with you guys so much over the past few months….. work…..changes……new beginnings have ‘hijacked’ my life, but I’m hoping to be back as a ‘regular’ soon!….. love you guys and always love coming home and reading back posts in the late or early off times……… (((hugs)))))
