Raspberries … one of Summer’s gems. Kitties are picking berries in the TDK garden with plans to do some baking. Savour a slice …. mmmm!

I am actually surprised that cats would like cake – unless it is fishcakes!

There should be some raspberries at the market by now – I like them just plain.

Yes, cats are proof that you can have your cake and eat it too, cats can, anyway!
I have some raspberries in the freezer. Never thought of making a cake with them!
It’s a beautiful day here in Jersey and my long workday. Hope Dewey steers clear of Rorschach, who seems to have it in for him. Jerk.

JJ, you made me laugh calling Rorschach ‘jerk’! Hope your long day isn’t a stressful one and moves along quickly. It’s supposed to be a hot one here today, although it’s really nice and cool here this morning.

I’m excited about surprising oldest dau with a birthday present…she doesn’t have a dishwasher and I am going to the appliance store today and get her one and bring it home in the pickup. Can’t wait to see the look on her face!

Raspberry cake sounds good, I love the flavor. I actually like the black raspberries better then the red ones. We have a raspberry farm about 1/2 mile from our house…when they are ready, people are allowed in to pick them. Some are already picked and in baskets. Great idea for taking kids and grandkids and let them see where there food comes from. OH, and I picked cucumbers, tomatoes and green beans out of my little garden last night! Wait til Avery sees the beans and gets to snap them with me–she loves to snap beans!

Hi efurryone,

That recipe looks delish but cake is the last thing I need now. Between the junk food and heat, my innards are rocking away. I’ve cut out the junk food and having mostly lemon water and juice for the day.

We’re suppose to get to 98f/36c or 100f/37c for the next 3 days. This much heat makes me sick and it’s even doing a number on the kits. Thankfully, the cooler is working (paws crossed) though.

Well, raspberries are very good for the health, but perhaps not the best of things for that kind of digestive problems.

I haven’t seen any of the black ones here yet.

Hi guys! Late checking in today, been busy with work! I tolerate raspberries if they are tart. Couldn’t eat them in a cake, but I don’t like any cake. Caddy is a much happier girl now that orange guy has been relocated. She’s claimed her porch back and allows her acceptable friends to visit. Socks came bye last night and shared the scratcher …. fascinating the networking of outdoor cats!

The marble cake kit is way pretty!

All the cakes – I mean the one’s for hoomins – are pretty!

I think that I have seen some black raspberries around.

Anyway, today my Walkman finally died, after having been thrown on it’s head one too many times. 😉 So I bought the house brand at electronics chain store and when I tried it out at home, not working. 🙁 And I don’t want to try another one in case they’re all duds. So I ordered me another Sony model on ebay. I only use it for DIY spin class in gym, which is generally every other Monday. With the repair situation it was efurry day since last Thurs. But schedule is back to usual starting with Sunday class. In the meantime I’m making do with my transistor radio tuned to an oldies rock station, too many ads, but better than nothing.

I finally got here.
KZ, you are really going to surprise your daughter and make her birthday.
Raspberries ! I love them straight of the canes. We always had a raspberry patch when I was a child and it was my job to pick them every couple of days. Believe me not every one made it inside. Mum usually made them in to jam but some were for dessert.
PG, you had me ROTFL with your Friday pic post. It is Friday here though.
36C is very hot and I can imagine it would make you feel unwell. Keep up the hydration though. He he marble cake.
KJ, sorry about your Walkman succumbing to it’s falls.
