Now if there were a fella in my sighting today I’d take full advantage of Sadie Hawkins day and go after him. Now there is dishy new spin instructor – but he’s married and I don’t do that to other women as stealing their husbands. Oh well, Dorry will have to suffice as male in my life (at present, not that I’m seriously looking, or looking at all for that matter as “been there, done that”, pas pour moi, merci!)
That ice cream quiz brings interesting if somewhat strange results. Some of these quizzes are spot on in accuracy, this one seems to have missed the boat, at least for me and I feel confident that I was honest in responses. Whatever.
So now that I have my 2 main replacement cc’s stowed in wallet I feel more human.
Purrhaps on tonite’s TV menu I’ll partake of doc that I PVR’d as this pm: Cat Ladies – interviews with 4 women whose lives revolve around their kitties. Now I’m a bit leery that program will attempt to marginalize cat lovers. I understand problematic when it comes to hoarding where situation becomes detrimental to furry’s health/welfare, but cats being a major part of one’s life, like family member, that’s a that’s a problem, how? We’ll see what Dorry thinks as he’ll be watching too, comfortably ensconced in his barcalounger (haven’t used that word in a while) And no I don’t have one. πŸ˜‰
Off to do what could be one of last translations in current project – short and sweet – just the way I like ’em. L8R!

    Glad that you’re awake MS!
Ultimate TDK tour (when I come into inheritance from super-wealthy relative whom I had no knowledge of, but they left me everything), would include a long stay over in NZ, when it’s Winter here and Summer there, that way I could nix Winter for an entire year. Dorry would of course come too, and meet HRH in the flesh (as fur). And then my poor passport could get it’s proper usage. A grrl can dream.

    Hello!!!
I am COOKIES and CREAM ice cream? Don’t care for that flavor. LOL
Our “snow” started around 3:30-4pm sometime. Started as a few raindrops, then went into snowflakes, now it has become BIG snowflakes. There’s maybe a quarter of an inch out there. It’s COLD though…. 32 degrees. I can “feel” snow in the air.
Cute kitties….. Awwww love the one in the bed, all cozy.
AV, I bet your tiny LED lights look adorable woven into the pinecones inside the fireplace. It will be perfect for the holidays! I can’t wait to put up my LED Christmas lights over the cabinets in the kitchen again. I got them last year half price. (Multi colored) I don’t put up a tree anymore.
Joan, congrats on your new wheels! Just in time for winter snow!
ECB… how nice you will spend Thanksgiving with hubbie’s family, for a change. But, I know you will miss the usually way you celebrate.

BB, your brrrrrrrrr temp makes my brrrrrrr temp sound like a warm day. I had to do the conversion and you are at 0C, that’s on the lower scale of Winter temps where I live although we do go lower at nights. Keep warm and snuggly BB.
KJ, a year of Summer would be wonderful. Definitely visit us here, sun, surf, bush walks(sorry no finds in the bush for decorating the home but plenty for the soul) and remember that NZ has many fantastic wine producing areas as well as the LOTR sites.
Good grief it’s lunch time, where did the morning go?

KJ, I’ll visit you if I ever get up that way!
Glad to see you awake MS. Leela says hi to Shadz!
BB, I’ll trade ice cream with you. And yes, we have a few flakes mixed with cold rain here.

HRH has just wandered inside and turned her nose up at her meat, turkey & duck and she didn’t want it. How spoiled is she. Back to the chicken which seems to be what she wants now.
Joan, sounds like you got your new truck just in time.

Did I hear mention of wine?

My spiritual side could certainly use some re-decorating/enhancing!
Joan, NJ is not all that far from my n’hood/city. About 7 hrs driving time, not including potential wait at border though. Dorry would even relinquish his (my) sofa bed for you. LOL. Never know where life can take us. I might find myself visiting NYC one fine day as it’s my sort of buzzing city, Soho area that is, and NYC is relatively near NJ.

I’m with you on the snow, Joan.
Your cooking sounds, wonderful MS. My cat has weird picky eating habits too. He won’t eat some baked chicken breast leftover from dinner but he has no problem eating the flys he catches… πŸ™„

We had heavy flurries this afternoon for several hours, but nothing stuck. Big flakes at times too, the high temp for the day was 25 degrees! Whew, that’s nippy when it was just 60 a couple of days ago…but the wood stove feels very, very lovely at the moment. I walked into living room today and on my sofa were 3 cats, each had a cushion, Willow was in his bed, he has a *hate* relationship with the stove, LOL. Then, this evening, I found him stretched out almost the length of the sofa with his belly facing the heat from the stove, I guess he has made peace with it. His paws don’t look any the worse for wear, although I could see on his back ones where they were a little burned. I hope he has learned something from this.

Maybe there will be a northeast TDK meetup someday, KJ. If I take a swing out to the west, I can pick up BB.
Hello Grant! I often just hang out in the cafe, so I missed your intro. Great to see you! If you are around over the weekend, there is usually some sort of lounge. Virtual everything – nice! I take it you are among those of us who survived last winter?
Neko sounds cool. I’m owned by 2 black cats – 6 year old Leela the Diva and 4 year old big boy Comet.

    Evening KZ, Joan and Grant,
Welcome to the fluffiest CafΓ© on the web Grant! πŸ™‚ Seems lots of you have had their first taste of winter as snow. Getting real cold here and way west of us as Alberta they had mega snowstorm. But so that we Quebecers don’t feel left out (not!) they predict that the stormy front is headed east. Nothing drastic predicted, just the white stuff, but I’m sooo not ready, not fair for it to snow until genuine winter as Dec. 21. However no one to direct any complaints to.*sighs*
Poor Willow, KZ, burned pawsies – ouch! Please give him a scritch and a cuddle from his Auntie KJ.
Time for latte and suitable go-with as carrot muffin/cheese/orange, sorta dinner/snack. So later or tomorrow!

Oh KZ, Comet singed his paws on the woodburner. Hope he has learned his lesson. Guess we will find out when he sees the pot of water on it.
Poor Mac! Out there in the snow. He is sitting under the chair which will shelter him for a while till the cushion and towels get saturated. I took the big plastic cat carrier out, maybe he will sit in there.
Grant, to bring you up to speed, “Mac” is a stray that showed up about 6 months ago. He is a loner, diesn’t hang with the local ferals, so I’ve been feeding him.

Grant, that wasn’t my cooking but the raw meat for my cat Shadz. She is off her food a bit and I am trying to tempt her appetite to reappear. Thankfully the pet food people have put out the Christmas treat meat early this year and she loves it – until today. πŸ™
At least I still have some prime chicken breast left for her complete with the skin. Oh yummy, flies, great to hunt and quick to swallow down. Every cats fast food.
KJ, NZ has plenty of wine areas, from coastal to mountain and areas in between and they are worldwide award winners too. Sad that I don’t drink other than special occasions.
KZ, it doesn’t take long with cold temps for a cat to decide the stove isn’t all that bad, even a stove that has fought back.
It’s mid afternoon here, time for me to go and unwind my washing off the line and make a cup of tea. I am listening to a Blackbird singing in a tree outside the window a song all about it’s chicks in the nest in the corner of the property which it thinks I don’t know about but I have been watching it gather food and fly into the shrub to feed it’s little ones.

Oh Joan, I would LOVE to switch ice scream with you! Much rather have Green Tea ice cream than cookies and cream.
OH!!! A COOKIE CUTTER CHRISTMAS is on again, but I didn’t know and missed the first half hour. πŸ™ I LOVE Erin Krakow (LOVED her on WHEN CALLS THE HEART) and Alan Thicke too. Can’t wait till it comes on again in a few months!
OH NO!~ These poor kitties with the burned toesies…. OUCHY! Poor little jelly beans toes… πŸ™ Gavin walked onto the “somewhat hot” flat top stove burner once, but didn’t really get hurt much. Ran over to lick his toes a bit. I try to always keep a pot of cold water on the burner until the light goes off, just in case.
Poor Mac out in the snow………

Washing untangled from the line, folded and back in the linen cupboard.
Cup of tea made and as I sat down to enjoy it a huge bumblebee flew inside and is now making a huge noise as it crawls up the net curtains. Sigh. It’s not going to be easy enticing it outside.
Also discovered Shadz plate is empty but I don’t know if she ate it or if her fluffy ginger suitor who was hanging around this morning may have snuck inside and had a feast.

I just had my “nightly” hot chocolate treat! Mmmmm….. Should email Ghiradelli to tell them what wonderful hot choc their milk choc chips makes. SO good and satisfying!
Finally stopped snowing those BIG flakes. Looks about 2-3″ out there.
COOL! The NINE LIVES of CHRISTMAS is on again tomorrow night so I can see it since I fell asleep the last time it was on… πŸ™ LOL

Oh I hope it was Miss Shadz who ate the food. And come to think of it, I don’t remember seeing many bumblebees this summer.
still snowing here, supposed to clear out before dawn.

Joan, wondering if you brought Mac in and closed door/screen, would he stay in and get acclimated or would “H” break loose with him panicking as feeling kitnapped and attacking Comet ann Miss Leela – seriously not good! I just feel bad for a kitty out in the cold, wet snow. Hope that he’ll take to the shelter. In any case you’re doing above and beyond your very best.

Finally bedtime for this one – good nite all!
