Well, today being my Hebrew b-day (’til sundown that is) makes this an auspicious time for me to give out blessings. So whatever any of you need/want I wish it for you! 🙂

Happy Hebrew B’day KJ! ….. wishes for a healthy new year!
MS, I imagine you’re headed to bed, scritches to HRH it should be getting warmer and warmer in your region …. it’s finally cooling down slightly here (but not much!)

Dau said it’s downright chilly up in Delaware, and will snow soon …. my Florida girl has come a long way in the last few years!

Have a great day all! …. TGIF almost here 🙂

Good morning! and Happy Hebrew Birthday my Canadian friend–KJ!! This is my Friday as dau doesn’t have to work tomorrow since it is Veteran’s Day here on Friday. And she is taking off Monday too! I asked her to help me out as I need to work on my books and I’ll take these 4 days to try and play catch up.

We will be having a cookout on Sunday to celebrate Mr. KZ’s birthday (it’s actually on Tuesday), with a bonfire, chili, cake, hotdogs and brats, and various other assorted goodies that people decide to bring. It may be a little chilly weatherwise, but as long as the wind doesn’t blow to hard, we will throw more logs on the fire to stay warm!! It’s always a fun time and usually the last outside get together of the season.

Good morning! Forget-me-nots are such a pretty flower.
Happy Hebrew B-day, KJ! Blessings right back atcha, my friend.
Yep AV, it’s getting chilly up this way. KZ’s windy weather is headed this way tomorrow.
Ooh, a cookout! *JJ checks wormhole directions to KZ’s house for Sunday.* Happy Birthday to Mr. KZ and please save a brat for me!
Comet is still a bit snotty. Everyone is getting more l-lysine with dinner so I’m hoping it will kick in soon. Though he is not food motivated, I’m going to try giving him some l-lysine-laced tuna.

Kittie Zee, the 11th of November is Remembrance Day in Canada and throughout the Commonwealth, as it was the day of the Armistice of the Great War aka WWI – which unfortunately did NOT end all wars. It is the day of recognition of fallen soldiers (and other armed forces contingents) as well as serving military and veterans. Veterans sell red poppies, as in the Beatles song Strawberry Fields: “a pretty nurse was selling poppies on a tray”.

    Happy Hebrew Bithday, KJ.

No tie-in, but I liked these days coming up in Hungary: http://gotohungary.com/music-concerts/-/netaview/1648133/wine-savoury-days;jsessionid=DD7D7AB48D1C4AA591D380F17C72DB00 Wine Savoury Days! Sounds yummy.

    Good morning all,
    KJ, happy Hebrew Birthday.
AV, yes I was in bed early lastnight, all the pool activity totally tired me out.
It is getting far too warm for late Spring, Summer arrives Dec 1st. We have had temps between 22C-26C(72F-79F) just this week and today is looking like being a scorcher already. I know from Meegz told me about the weather in Delaware that mini AV is facing very different weather to her home state.
KZ, any chance the wormhole might somehow connect to Mr KZ’s celebrations? They sound perfect to me. Don’t forget the bug spray.
Aha! JJ will be there too for the bonfire etc. 🙂 Wow JJ, going with the hard stuff to tempt Comet. You have to get it into him by fair means or foul.
It is almost 11am or 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, otherwise known as Armistice Day in the UK, and Remembrance in other countries.
“Armistice Day is commemorated every year on November 11 to mark the armistice signed between the Allies of World War I and Germany at Compiègne, France, for the cessation of hostilities on the Western Front of World War I, which took effect at eleven o’clock in the morning—the “eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month” of 1918. The date was declared a national holiday in many allied nations, and coincides with Remembrance Day and Veterans Day.”

Canada and New Zealand have both been inundated with people wanting to emigrate.

OK, was I the only one who got all teary-eyed at ad as posted by MS?

Tks for Hebrew b-day wishes all!

PG, you back in TDK-land? New ISP up and running OK?

Well, my place is only 800 sq ft or so, but you’re all virtually invited to share my digs – if immigration is the way you want to go.
One would assume that kit-lovers would be high up on the list of most-wanted new Canadians!

Would have to get landlord to adjust lease so that all the kits could move in too. But you’d get a dishy-looking Prime Minister into the bargain! Non-US TDKers most welcome too! 😉

The world is not getting any less strange, is it?

Oooh KZ a BBQ! Early happy b-day to Mr. KZ. he and I share that same astrological sign. 🙂

We’ve all heard “cheque got lost in mail.” Just happened to me as cheque that I sent in for Philo course Session II never got to addressee. Will write another one as bank told me this one can’t be cashed so forget about it. Henceforth think that I will hand money in purrsonally.

I’m not adjusting well to time change and can’t quite believe that MS is welcoming Summer. I just feel worn out. Then again it’s also end of what was hard week stress-wise. And I could get my act together and take self to bed before o’dark thirty! *Sigh*

Everyone is welcome to the BBQ–in person or through the wormhole!! Wouldn’t that be grand if we could all sit around a bonfire and just talk and be together?

MS, that video brought me smiles through my tears. The song is beautiful, and the animals–just too sweet. KJ, no you weren’t the only one to get misty-eyed. I have done nothing but cry since yesterday morning. Can’t seem to get ahold of myself and my fear for the future. I sobbed through Hillary’s concession speech yesterday, as I held and rocked my youngest granddaughter while she was sleeping. I needed to hear what she had to say. I am looking for balm to my aching heart. And I am really not a crying type of person, so this is quite unnatural for me.

MS and lagatta, thank you for the history refresher. I had not known the ll/11 significance, nor did I know that Strawberry Fields reference either!

I’m amazed that this disaster was so recent – I thought it was much older. I must have been in Europe at the time – I don’t see how I couldn’t have heard of it as front-page news if not. The waters of those lakse flow through our river to the sea.

Sad news on Leonard Cohen’s passing. 😥

The world is richer for his amazing voice and music and poorer for his passing.
    RIP Leonard Cohen.

I am glad you all shed a tear of two at that lovely vid, I did too between laughing at the humans faces. I would say it was a happy tear.
I have heard the Edmund Fitzgerald song for years and didn’t realise it was about a real incident until a few years ago. I can’t remember if I saw a TV programme about it or someone on here educated me.
KZ, I’m sorry your heart is aching, it is unsettled times at the moment for sure. May your heart find the balm it needs.
