A few of the long-standing (or long-napping) staff kitties are considering going on sab-catical. Tux with ever faithful Chef Kitty, Maitre D’ Cat and Barrista Cat are interviewing waitstaff kit wannabees. So if things are just a little dis-organized for a bit, if you are served someone else’s order, if you are not served at all, if you have to go into the kitchen and get your noms yourself, please bear with us. *PC peers into the Café, wondering if the Fluffy orange server can bring her a latte* Heading out to Farm & Fleet today, to look for snow boots. Maybe it will work like the wash-your-car-to-make-it-rain thing, and buying boots will make it stop snowing. Think?

Hey, that would be a fun meet up for there a restaurants galore right across the street/Bayshore Mall including The Cheesecake Factory!

How Joan and JK,

Who would be joining me on that bench, so hard to choose, think I know *not telling*. Yes Joan, you can count me in on a boot foray at JK’s wknd place. I love shopping!!! Have lots of shoes and boots and bags (whole cupboard dedicated to shoes and bags, but could always use more LOL. I feel that I need an appropriate boot for every type of weather Winter brings. Today, for example wore the over the knee sheepskin lined warm well-treaded suede pair. Fortunately I always buy on sale or manage to get amazing deals. You still at home for “snow days”?

I hope Tux has gotten those waiter wannabees sorted out, ’cause I see a coffee and lunch in my very near future. First promised a friend that I’d help her write a grant application.

Plus, I feel like a cold is coming on. That feeling when you feel a bit lousy and you sense that it will only get worse? Or bypass me altogether. Trying to convince myself that it’s the dry air or humidity which contradict each other, but whatever.

Hey KJ, I actually don’t have a pair of real winter boots. In this weather I wear workboots – the black ones go with just about everything but I have brown ones too. When the snow is deep I have an awesome pair of thigh-high legwarmers that are super thick. Denim blue, so it doesn’t completely look like I’ve jumped out from the 80s!
I’m on the mountain again today, by choice though. Still fighting the crud, but slowly getting better.
Who would I sit with on that bench? My first thought is someone past, a few family members jump to mind. Friends, historical figures, so much to ponder. However, it is also important to remember the living. Whether it be an old family member, a baby family member (or in my case, 2 – I’m a great aunt to twins), or any family member in between, or a friend, one I know or want to meet, I sure don’t know. Thanks for an interesting thought-provoking question, JK. Hmmm…

Nirmal, this would be Bayshore in the midwest. We need to fire up the cybermobile, cash in on the boot deals while they last, and have a “TDK” meetup at The Cheesecake Factory!

In keeping with today’s theme, at my gym the restaurant has a sign out where they usually mention day’s specials. It reads:
Waitress
For Breakfast
And Lunch

It took a moment’s thinking, then friend and I were just about ROTFL.

Anyway, finished my work, not feeling 100%, finally going to make long-awaited coffee, then see if “Tylenol” and some rest do the trick. L8R all!
