    That’s alright, MC. You have worked out so much and hard that I’m certain you will have gained muscle.

    I’m doing well today. Today I had the grape nuts, crackers and hummus and salmon pattie with some black bean and corn salsa which was very tasty. Now I’m having a plain Greek yogurt at work with a bit of crumbled Kashi cereal stirred in. Yummy! I’m going to enjoy a Healthy Choice ice cream bar in front of the tv when I finally settle down for the day around ten.

    I just wanted to share that I am back up on that horse! I had a great day with my food, got a good walk in and about ready to go to bed. Thank you for the support and encouragement!

    Also, JJB and everyone else, I read somewhere (here maybe?) to borrow DVD’s from the library to try different things and keep your workout changed up (it’s good for the metabolism, too). If you find something you really like then you can look for it on a place like ebay or craigslist.

    Hip hip hooray for you Lainey! THAT IS GREAT NEWS! I am so proud of you. I have to remind myself every day that it is the small changes I make everyday that will point me in the direction of good health. GD, remind yourself that ice cream bar is “dairy” when you eat it! LOL

    Lainey, we all have set backs. A set back is only that – a momentary blip on our screen of long range plans. NEVER let a set back …. well, set you back. Just climb right back up there and know that you are committed to doing better this day. You can do it!

    I got the “healthified” ice cream bars. They’re pretty big and only 90-100 calories. I like Skinny Cow. Tonight I’m trying Healthy Choice Mocha Bar. I like that it’s a bar so I’m not sitting with a tub of something I will undoubtedly feel tempted to eat way too much of πŸ™‚

    Make sure you do get enough dairy, GD, you need lotsa calcium when you’re exercising as hard as you do. Remember Gwyneth Paltrow….

    Course it doesn’t HAVE to be ice cream… πŸ˜‰

    And I do eat yogurt every day. I switched to plain Greek yogurt this week – more protein and less sugar. I actually used to eat it as a kid in Denmark, though we didn’t call it Greek yogurt.

    Today was “d-day” for me at the trainer. I lost 5″ overall, increased flexibility & strength, decreased heart rate & blood pressure while exerting myself and was able to do DOUBLE the number of pushups AND situps I could do. She also said she noticed my coordination and balance had significantly improved. She was grinning from ear to ear. So was I. ( my workout partner didn’t fair as well though). She said another six weeks and I am gonna be unstoppable!! Not sure about that but I am pleased with how far I have come. Thanks for your continued support littermates!

    I, on the other hand, suck. I’m sitting here eating ice cream straight out of the box because Mr. K and I just got back from “dinner” at this horrible noisy bar/lounge that we had a coupon for. Question: when is a deal not a deal? When it’s a freaking miserable experience, that’s when. I told him, no more deals unless we check the places out first; if the reviews say “loud”, I’m not going. So there πŸ™‚ Loud makes me want to curl up in a ball and hide.

    I am so proud of you, MC. You rock.

    OMG, MC, you DO rock! That’s totally inspiring! You make me want to get back on my exercycle right now.

    However, I haven’t had lunch yet and I DID buy a Saturday cream cake… πŸ˜‰

    Sorry about the loud, horrible bar, Kilroy, you’re so right, there’s no point in going out if it’s no fun, that’s just masochism.

    I managed to be pretty good with my eating for the last week or so. Some chocolate happened every now and then, but generally I managed to eat more protein and fiber and less carbs and sugar.

    I worked out Monday – Friday, alternating swimming and biking. I’m going to hit the bike today and try for at least 20 miles and then take tomorrow off. I plan on being bad tomorrow. GG asked me to go to Cracker Barrel with him. I love that place and haven’t been in a couple of years. A hashbrown casserole is calling my name!! I’llgo enjoy myself, celebrate almost being done with pet-sitting for the summer and reward myself for the hard work I’ve done lately in the gym as well as eating better.

    Way to go MC! That’s very motivating, hard work really does pay off.

    I finally got to try the exercise ball DVD and it kicked my butt, walking was no fun. That was two days ago, I did cardio yesterday as my “rest day” and today its back on the ball for round two!

    I had kinda crappy day yesterday, it was the last day of classes and my interpreting class decided to take a class pic for our teacher since he is moving. I looked awful, I felt like such a planet the rest of the day =(

    Yay to everyone on here. I think it is the small choices we make every single day that lead us to a life of better health and wellness. It doesn’t happen overnight and we have to fall a few times before we get it right.

    Now to go attack that yummy delicious and beatiful cream cake JCAT sent! LOL
