FH, I love the idea of a cat named Mugshot – did it get shortened?

The Royal names: Dutchess Leela. Lord Comet.

Jiggs was named for a tavern down the mountain only a few miles from the tatoo parlor where we rescued him.

Shaddo earned the name Shaddo from his obsession with his shadow. We just wanted to spell it different. 🙂

Brother had a cat named Aja, after a Steely Dan album.

First cat we had was called Peanut, there is a company over here that makes snacks and they are called KP, when my mum caught peanut, the box had KP on it so he became Peanut. Second one was called Smudge as she was pure white except for a grey smudge between her ears, her son was named Splodge as he was white with black splodges! Then we took in a grey and white stray who was a bit mentally challenged….he became Damnfoolcat! And my latest boy is Dave…it really suits him!!

I have helped save some cats and kittens from the streets but in taking them in to a no kill rescue you must have names for them. Anyway, the male I named Will and the female I named Willow. After Willow had her 5 babies their names (once adopted) are: Tiger, Callie, Teddy, Max and Lexie. Will lives with a man nearby, Tiger & Callie were adopted together, Teddy & Max were too. Willow and Lexie were adopted together as well. I was so very happy that they went in pairs…all but Will, but he is so very happy with the gentleman that adopted him. Today on this Thanksgiving Day I am very thankful they were adopted the way they were and are all loved by those families.

so I’ve had Spanky, named after the Little Rascals character and many thought it was a fettish thing-NOT!

My next cat was Grover…named after the loveable blue furry monster on Sesame Street. Both those cats have since passed away.

My current cat is Rico aka, Rico-baby, Pico and Squirrel because he has a big bushy tail, loves to chase squirrels and climb trees/fences. He was named after a song by my favorite artist and is a rather obnoxious song to be honest and he is so, not obnoxious.

A friend commented it sounded like a mexican pimp name. In truth, he’s more of a princess than a pimp/gangster

My childhood first cat was named Sucha by my mom as he was “sucha nuisance, sucha pain” My grampa had a huge orange cat named Pamplemousse (french for grapefruit). My brother had another orange cat named Dawg (pronounced dog, of course) And I, as a teenager, had a beautiful, white with grey lynx point markings, female named Billy Otis (Otis for short) after my favorite Cabbage Patch doll. We also had Scout (after To Kill a Mockingbird) and Caspur, a big white ragdoll.
