    Christmas Eve Eve seems like as good a time as any to hold a winter holiday party; many people will most likely be attending devotional services over the weekend. While Pumpkin will be spinning tunes, Piglet will be preparing a banquet and running both the snack bar and the cocktail lounge, and Pepper will be running the lighting and the special effects as well as running the pro shop. Come one, come all, and let’s try to keep the “Party Rock”ing all weekend (in between eating, opening gifts, and spending time with friends, frenemies, and family, of course). After all, it’s a birthday party for Jesus, right? (Oh, yes, there will be cake)

    Vicki thank you for opening the skating rink. Since it is Christmas Eve in NZ it is a fitting time 🙂

    Bronson and Melinda are jumping with joy at the thought of a skating party. They’re not very good, so watch out !!! Spice will come to watch, her skating days are over but she loves a good party !!!

    Leela and Comet are coming thru the wormhole for a while. They will come by again tomorrow while we’re having dinner. Comet knows Bronson and Melinda can’t skate well; he will hold their hands as they skate if they want. (*rolling eyes – what a Romeo!*) Leela is looking forward to some girl talk with Spice.

    I don’t see any of my Christmas music CD’s so I guess the rink has them. Give them a spin, Pumpkin!

    They are bringing nip-nog and ginger-nip cookie men. Have fun kitties!

    *Grommet here* I’ll pop in and out from time to time ~ Meowmy is spending Christmas with some neighbors… I have my new skating outfit, a red and green pinafore, and, of course, my new red suede skates… Meowmy is going to attend midnight Christmas services, so I’ll be on my own for a while. Let’s skate!!!

    Bronson and Melinda are taking turns skating with Comet, He is very debonair !!! Leela is painting Spice’s claws in alternating red and green for the holidays, They are catching up on the latest gossip too !!!

    Piglet and the kittens wanted to know why Christmas was such a big deal. I told them that a baby boy was born to a young human woman and her husband-to-be and that the baby boy, although born in a stable and surrounded by animals, grew up to save souls, heal people, and teach love for people and animals. I then explained that Christmas was a birthday party for the Savior born some 2000-odd years ago. Although they probably didn’t understand the Gospels, they probably feel the compassion that we feel because of that Holy Infant born 20 centuries ago. The kittens scrambled off to skate and play while Piglet went back to the kitchen to taste-test a new concoction of his (what is that boy fixing now?).

    Hi Grommet!

    Vicki, thanks for telling the story of the reason for the season. Comet has only heard it once – he’s only 17 months old and Leela enjoyed hearing it again. The have had fun today – much more than being at home with all those hoomans around. Between the skating and the tunes and the awesome noms Piglet has been whipping up has made the day a blast!

    No Cafe yet and its almost time for me to start closing up programs in anticipation of going to the Hallmark store @ 7 a.m. 🙂

    all the Hoyt kitties have been having a great time at the roller rink. Bronson and Melinda are skating better. Spice is chatting and partying with the other kitties who don’t skate. Cheri is watching the skaters and her House, MD dvds…
