One of the most well known German folklores is the story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. The town of Hamelin, Germany was infested by rats. The mayor promised to handsomely pay the Pied Piper, if he rid the town of rats. The Pied Piper played his flute. Lured by the magical music, all of the rats left town, and followed him. He played his music all the way down to the river. He waded into the river. The rats followed him and drowned.

… but the townspeople cheated the piper out of his payment. So he returned the following year and lured their children away, too. 😮

Efurryone must be out rat-catching! 😮

Rainy out and supposed to be like this for the week, I don’t mind at all.

Good that I decided to go to Knitting Circle on Fri. They were doing a pattern giveaway – some of these booklets go for like $11.95, which is why I get most of mine for free online. Some neat stuff. Like this way complicated dress. Might reassign yarn from another project as these colours are IMHO not ideal.

Almost finished way complicated sweater in lace pattern, which is for summer so it’s time!

Good to be back in our cycle studio at gym.

Think I’ll run out again to local chain pharma. Some of them actually sell workout wear for way low prices. And I some some neat plaid leggings. Black/grey/yellow and I want to bring a yellow T and see if the shade works.

    Hi all – happy Sunday!
I can still picture my 3 young nieces following hubby’s dad along the dam at the lake, fishing poles in hand. We called him the Pied Piper after that!
It rained all night here in Jersey but it’s been fairly dry today. Apparently there was something of a mini microburst down the shore yesterday, yikes!
PS: “down the shore” is Jersey speak for “the beach”. If you’re already down the shore, then you go to the beach!

As I type this I am watching the final of the Mens Rugby Sevens being played in San Francisco’s AT&T Park. It’s NZ v England.
I spent yesterday watching the Women’s matches and the NZ Black Ferns won the final so it’s fingers crossed our men can do the same.
Funny that today’s theme should be rats, I heard something in the ceiling lastnight, the patter of little feet. 😡 We now have a selection of traps and cages set in the ceiling.
LOL KJ, efurryone must be out rat catching. 😆 Not many posts though. Maybe everyone is out enjoying the beautiful Summer weather, oops except at KJ’s.
Wow that is quite a dress KJ. Are you thinking of trying it?
Hi down the shore JJ. Have fun at the beach.
We have a beautiful sunny day here as long as you are out of the nasty cold wind.
WE WON ! NZ beat England 33-12. It was a hard fought game for both teams. Now we hold the double double, Men’s and Women’s World Cup Sevens Titles.

Site seems impurroved – meaning that I can more easily post on Star Kit. And glad that we’re back to 2 columns. Tks KM!

Concats on NZ win MS!

I am considering knitting up that dress – way complicated what with cabling on waistband. Def not in those shades though.

    Rat with dyno-mite ahhhhh!
30 stuffed rats – freaks me out ahhhh!

If I heard those pitter-patters I’d either have to move or would end up in a camisole de force AKA straitjacket. 😮
