So literally like an hour ago, I was walking down the stairs and I jumped the last step and my cat came in running in front of me and we both fell. The problem is I accidentally stepped on his stomach. He didn’t scream, yelped, etc he just ran upstairs and hid under the bed. then, I fed him he ate normally and it didn’t look like there was a change with his behavior (he’s kind of lazy and laid back) but I’m still worried that something might have happened internally like a ruptured stomach 😥 please help!

Sorry this happened. If you’re concerned about internal injuries, get your cat to a vet and have it checked out. Better safe than sorry. Hope kitty is OK. Keep us updated.

I agree with Crystal…if your whole weight was on him, you might need to get him to a vet. There are all kinds of problems that could happen and yes, I know it’s not convenient and it is expensive, but it IS better to find nothing than to find him passed away in the morning.

He has an appointment on the 30th of June an examination and a 3 year rabies vaccine. Should I wait or should I just go?

Oh! also just recently he was running around and playing with his toys and I just did a pat down and he doesn’t seem to react negatively whenever I pressed down he seems normal.

If you think your cat has internal injuries you don’t want to want to wait to June 30th. find a vet with emergency hours. See if your vet has emergency hours. I want your cat to be OK. Please understand why I’m concerned and want you to get an appointment as soon as you can. Don’t Wait.

Calling the Vet now to see if there’s one

Chris, I realize it could be expensive but in the long run you’ll be glad you called the vet right away instead of waiting because you’ll find out for sure and it will give you peace of mind. I know you were checking to see if your cat has internal or not but in my opinion, I wouldn’t press on your cat’s stomach in case there are internal injuries. If your cat is playing normally and eating normally those are both positive signs but keep an eye on your cat. Hope kitty is OK.
