Oh my goodness! Dru and I have been away for the longest time- my mum has been in hospital. We are sooooooo glad to be home. Travelling with a cat is an experience:)
Ice cream is one of my favourite foods. Dru hasn’t met it yet but I feel sure that she would be willing to accept a scoop. She is a good kitty:) She has grown a lot recently. She has finally gained a little weight (still slim but not scrawny) and her general health is more robust. She stays on the lysine! Dru is such a clever girl- sometimes I feel that we have had a conversation because she is so good at communicating what she wants by eye-pointing and using her voice and leading me to look at things. I adore her.
Will have to read for weeks to catch up with everyone- hope you are all ok.

Hi Judith, so glad you and Dru are home finally. I have a little plaque in my kitchen that says “take a deep breath, you’re home now”! Yup, it’s good to be back when you’ve been away from it’s comforts.
Many things to start doing on this Caturday, Hazeling is one of them–of course the wretch forgets to show up and I end up doing her job! So later all!

Ice cream for breakfast, what a lovely idea! There’s some in my freezer shouting at me too. Thanks for the cute pics, PG.
Hi Judith! Nice to see you and Dru again. Must have been interesting travelling together.
Have fun hazeling, KZ. When you’re done, let’s head to AV’s place!
Hi AV – your chowder and salad sound yummy!
Snowing here again. Looks like the rough weather is set to arrive tomorrow though, ice/rain/sleet/snow.

Good to see you, Judith. Dru sounds like such a perfect companion.
They were in the shadows, but here’s an attempt at a photo of the sand hill cranes…

Like I said, they’ve been mating. Maybe we’ll see babies. Mom’s seem them before and says they look like fuzzy orange tennis balls on stilts. :).

    Good Morning All,

Hi Judith-it’s good hear you’re home and that mom is doing better. Putting your suitcase down and falling into your own bed….aah.

Miss Lexx is a gorgeous tabby girl, Joan! I love that all her sibs are in loving furever homes.

Breakfast, Lunch -you can have ice cream anytime KZ. πŸ˜‰

Beautiful cranes ECB, let us know if you see chicks. Fuzzy orange tennis balls on stilts? ROTFL!

Colorado weather roller coaster has begun – Weds. we had 7″ snow and yesterday we had a record high of 71f/21c! It’s suppose to be in the 60s until Tues. when it drops to the 30s with snow. Gotta luv it!

    Have a happy ~

Hey all πŸ™‚ oh PG your weather sounds a bit confused πŸ™‚ hope it settles down to a comfortable temp πŸ™‚

Joan Little Lexx is soooo cute!!! Beautiful tabby !!!

Had to play “spot the crane” there for a minute ECB but see them in the shadows! Such amazing creatures we have cranes here too.. Not sure if they are the same breed and they aren’t all that common they are known as “John of the bogs” in these parts πŸ™‚ there’s a small lake near us and some mash land so you normally see them there..

AV your day sounds so relaxing πŸ™‚ and the chowder sounds delicious !!!

Judith πŸ™‚ so nice to see you popping in πŸ˜‰ Dru sounds like a character now …

KZ hope hazel turns up and does the house work πŸ™‚

I’m siting here relaxing πŸ™‚ watching Ms Moneypenny playing in the box she has now demolished πŸ™‚ and she’s chasing her tail .. πŸ˜† so funny to watch.. She all hyper after her raw beef heart supper πŸ™‚

Planning on having a lazy day tomorrow πŸ™‚

“John of the Bogs”, Buttons, can’t fathom where that name comes from LOL! had to crane my neck to see them, such elegant long-legged birds. How can you tell that they’re mating, ECB. Oops, forgot this is PG rates site, my bad!
KZ, if Hazel did show up, it will be one for the records as never known to have happened. πŸ˜‰
Well, just woke up after day-long off-and-on strength replenishing sleep. Now must have latte and muffin as noms so L8R or Sunday all!

Those cranes are beautiful, ECB, thanks for the pic! Not sure if I’ve ever seen them around here, I think the closest is the Blue Heron.
Lexx is quite a character. She is part of sister’s “H” litter – her original name was Hannah. She constantly is jumping up on that dining room table in the other room while mom, brother, sister and I are having lunch. She is quite a talker too, “breeping” hello as her greeting.
Ms. Moneypenny sounds like she’s having a blast, Buttons. Mac is taking a break from chasing Comet, who is on an end table where Mac can’t get to him. Leela is playing upstairs.
PG, that is some crazy weather. Not nearly as drastic here. Got about 1/2 inch this morning and this afternoon it was above freezing. Late next week it’s forecasted to get into sub zero temps again.
And now, finally, I think I’ll have a scoop of ice cream. Vanilla fudge swirl, yum!

Hmmm, two-fold bummer. The cough part of the crud kicked in right as I was trying to enjoy my ice cream. And…it’s getting close to bedtime and I have not put clean sheets on the bed. *sigh*
Oh well, entertainment currently provided by Comet and Mac. Mac chases Comet, Comet turns and whaps Mac. Mac backs off, then sneaks up and whaps Comet. *lather, rinse, repeat*

    I’m baaaaaack ! ! Scary huh! πŸ˜‰
Had a couple of lovely days away as we had a long weekend/public holiday. HRH went to a cattery along with her cat Aunty and cousins. She is happily exploring the property now that she’s home to see who may have been on her territory while she was away.

Good to see you back Judith and it’s always good to be home.
AV, your chowder sounds great, am I too late to pop over? πŸ˜€
ECB, great pic of the cranes, the babies sound delightful, I hope you get to see some.
Well done Joan and what a looker Lexx is, beautiful bold markings and who can ignore that stare.
Awww Buttons, Ms MP enjoys killing boxes, HRH demolished several when she was younger. We had little bits of box everywhere.
Joan, sorry about the cough and why the heck don’t beds make themselves. LOL at the Comet/Mac comedy duo.
It’s beautiful weather here, late afternoon and still quite hot outside. At least my tomato plants survived several days of neglect and will appreciate a watering tonight. The fruit is ripening now.
Off to hang out the holiday washing.

    Very scary indeed MS! πŸ˜‰
Glad that you had a good few days away, and that HRH got to enjoy kitty family reunion at cattery LOL.
Took me like 2 hrs to sort out a knitting error, but fixed and put away to be continued on tomorrow. Going to be real cold here for next few days as whatever weather peeps tells me it “feels like”, to me it feels much colder.
So off to bed, taking along some frozen yogurt as bedtime snack. Goodnight or good afternoon!

    Loving the kitty-ice cream pics!
Welcome home MS!! Oooh, you’re going to get tomatoes soon, awesome. Did you know New Jersey is known for our tomatoes? I can always tell the difference when I have one that’s not a Jersey tomato. When we went down south on vacation, a sandwich with lettuce and tomato had excellent lettuce and ok tomato.
Well, the bed is made, rather sloppy, but Leela did her best to help. Getting the stink eye from her because Mac came up, maybe for treats, maybe for bed time, maybe both. “He’s stealing my thunder, ma!” Plus he started playing with one of her favorite toys, then proceeded to knock it down the stairs.
It is finally time for treats before bedtime (Mac is back downstairs at the moment, followed me when I went down to turn off lights). If anyone got a weird email from me, no I am not selling pharmaceuticals, please delete. *sigh* pw changed

HI Joan, yes our own tomatoes. Took a handful away with us and had them on sandwiches one day beside a lake and the rest fried this morning. There is always a difference between a home grown and purchased tomato, homegrown ones ripen on the vine and taste of sunshine.
Don’t worry about the sloppy bed, it will get all disturbed when you sleep in it. Well done Leela for helping.
Awwww Mac, did you ‘borrow’ one of Leela’s toys, you are a good boy and will give it back.
    Yahoo treats!
    Sweet dreams to you all.
I had to go back and check out Lexx’s tail, it certainly is a long tail. I hope she knows how to keep it out of the way of feet.
