moon, we need pics of ur caterpillars! lol it was nicer here today too. prolly temporary until spring really comes, but it nice enough for me to walk. it was a couple miles. i forget if it was 2 or 3.

YARRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!! LOL ….. had a great day with the Gasparilla races, then went to a friends fun dinner party and now ‘chillin’! ……..

…..tomorrow is the ‘big’ race, so we’re hunkered down here, and I’ll let! you know how my quail recipe turned out! …. have a great evening my friends!

This is where I stayed at the Grand Canyon when I went last year 🙂 Thunderbird Lodge on the South Rim, we had Elks out there every morning.

… Hi Joan, I always think of Miss Leela (who likes to hide in your upstairs/bedroom) when Dau talks about Queen Cuddles having to be ‘Ann Frank’ (hiding from the maintenance people) in her apt. complex! LOL

Hehe, AV – maybe I will call her Ann sometimes!
I’ve noticed that Leela occasionally gags on her lysine treats even when I break them in half – my gag reflex is quite sensitive too. Then last night when my one eye kept tearing, I noticed one if her eyes was too!

Stopping in to the Café for a late morning coffee – we’ve been experimenting with some Gevalia coffees received as a gift…today’s offering was Ugandan African Moon, pretty tasty.
Took the opportunity of slightly warmer weather yesterday to get out and walk a bit. Not as far as Nirmal’s 2 or 3 miles, and definately well beneath the 5K run down by AV; just down the road a piece and back, but it felt good! We have an elliptical in basement, but it kicks my butt, can’t do long on it at all. At least with the walking I’m out there for a good half hour and can feel slightly virtuous about it. I should probably watch the want ads for a used treadmill: closer to walking and I could do it inside when weather is bad. Sunny out now, although colder, maybe I should see if I can get my fanny out and walk again, maybe up the road the other way this time. Jes ventured out on the porch this morning as well, but not for long: maybe I should send him through the wormhole so he could get some exercise as well!

PC…. even a short stroll is great for you – way to go! ….. I have a friend, who comes over 2-3 times a week and we ‘stroll’ down the Bayshore ….. by the time we’ve chatted/gossiped/solved the world’s problems …..we’ve managed to walk 2-3 miles! LOL

Good for you PC, AV & Nirmal for getting out and about!
A walk around here consists of walking down the stairs to the dam by the lake, a path around the lake and up to the road, then the road for the rest. The path is snow covered, and the normally narrow roads are even more narrow with the snow. Tempted to try it, though – you guys are inspiring me!

Morning everyone, home finally, crew is fed, outside birds fed and watered so now its time for me to try and get tired…..around 4 a.m. I was easily tired but of course that second wind kicked in, lol.

Hi all!

Canadians won Gold – Yes! Yes! Yes! Both the men and women’s teams beat their opponents!

OK, not an Olympics or hockey fan, found out during spin class, instructor was simultaneously instructing and tuned into his “iPod” for score updates. Well for sure we all cheered!

I too did a lot of walking as it’s dry out and streets are snow-free so was able to give pair 1 of kick-a** boots an outing. But … it’s starting to get colder. Oh well!
