Last week, Ruggles could not decide where to sleep: in bed with me, or in his fleecy bed with the velvet sides on the floor about 5 feet away. He kept vibrating between the two areas, and finally started to drag his bed on top of my bed. I moved it myself.

Now Ruggles sleeps in his fancy bed on the other side of my bed.

This morning, I brought His Lordship his breakfast and set it neatly on the fluffy blue towel on the floor: his special kibbles, special (and very expensive) wet cat food, and a large dish of water.

Ruggles stayed in his bed, mewing piteously. (No, he was not hurting nor were his legs paralyzed, thank you very much!)

After three minutes, I broke. I put the dish of wet food on the bed.

Mews continued, with a note of bitterness added.

I placed the dish in his fancy velvet bed.

Ruggles sat up, polished off all the food, and belched softly. Then he jumped down and drank some water, walked into the studio to finish off his morning routine. After copious litter-kicking and warming up his voice, he strolled back into my bedroom, hopped up on my bed, and cuddled down into his bed. Blinking lovingly at me, Ruggles rolled over on his back and fell asleep.

    And I CANNOT believe this.

ROFL, no disrespect to Master Ruggles, I have to do that with Lil Girl to with the ‘delivery service of her food dish’. She wants it on her chair, or I need to follow her to her desired place at that moment.

Now I have tears running out of the corner of my eye because I was laughing so much reading Lordship Ruggles terrible ordeal on getting his meal in the proper environment 🙂

I woke up this morning to find His Fluffership cuddled into my left arm, snoring happily. I stroked him a few times and he started thrumming and woofling, sound effects that accompany asthma and heart murmurs. Ruggles fell sound asleep in a few (noisy) minutes, and I smiled listening to the feline bandsaw next to me.

    Sweetest little guy!

Sir Lordship seems fitting a name. hahaha. What a sweetie-pie. You’d laugh if you saw my Spunky trying to prevent his siblings Misty & Rusty from getting lovins from me. He stands tall in his 23 1/2 lb. frame like a giant guard dog daring them to get closer. I love your description Emma on how he can’t get the right meows out to tell you where he wants his food & bed. Hope your Holiday was pleasant & restful.
