    I am so, so sorry, Susie. You loved her so much, you gave her everything that you could, she would not have asked for more. I think that, wherever she is, she is at peace now and she is blessing you for caring for her and her offspring. MS and CBM are right, her life was so much better for having you in it. {{{{Susie}}}}

    Susie, I am so sorry. Poor Ms. Hissy. You loved her so much and did so much for her. Don’t beat yourself anymore, without you she would have had a lot shorter and unhappier life. {Susie}

    (((Susie))) she is in a better place now… No pain … Just love…

    I had feared from your last post she had maybe been looking for a quiet place.. As we all know cats do tend to like a quiet place to pass but near home and your have to understand Susie that is the way she wanted to cross over it ment she passed in the way she wish which would have only ment she was at peace ..

    I’m so very sorry for all you’ve had to go through over the last year.. It truely isn’t right.. But I know things are going to get better..

    We all carry guilt about loosing or babies but we need to understand whatever happens to their bodies here in the physical world doesn’t matter to them once they’ve crossed to the meadow .. That’s us holding on to the guilt they don’t feel any suffering , pain or longing for home because they are home in the meadow now.. That’s where they are sent from to show us love and they must go back so they can teach others about true unconditional love.. We are just lucky we were graced by their presence for even a minute.. And Susie always remember all Miss Hissy ever felt was love just think of how lucky she was to have had a life filled with love thanks to you..

    Susie, I am so sorry to hear that Ms. Hissy passed on and over to the Meadow, may she now be in no pain and wait for you with all the others who have crossed before her. Hope that all the kits know that she is in a good place and that they will meet her again in the future. Hugs to all of you.

    {{{Susie}}} I am so sorry. Had the same thought as Buttons. Ms. Hissy didn’t want you to see her like that after everything you’ve done for her.
    Ms. Hissy, may you run and play with strength and vitality and reunite with those who have gone to the Meadow before you.

    Susie, my prayers are with you. Without you Ms. Hissy never would have had the opportunity to live as long as she has, you are such a blessing to all cats, but to her you were a guardian angel. Please be at peace and know you are loved.

    There is nothing I can add to the wonderful tributes to Ms. Hissy the others have said. I do feel your heartbreak and it has to help to know that we know how much you are hurting. I know I have felt terrible and carried much guilt about the ways some of my cats and kittens have passed. Sometimes it’s just out of our hands, and knowing the disposition of felines, it may be that that’s the way they wanted it to be. I am so sorry.

    I can’t tell you how many times I have sat down to my computer and clicked on the Daily Kitten and can’t go on to anything else because I am in tears and can’t see to work. This is one of those times. Again, how glad I am to have found such caring people who know what it’s like to be owned by cats.

    Oh my Susie, just saw this thread. Please know Miss Hissy is in my thoughts now that she has passed to the Meadow by the Rainbow Bridge. She is now healthy/happy and with her furry family & friends as she waits for you when heaven meets earth. ((Susie)).

    Susie, you gave her her life. You cared for her through so many difficulties. She is now “released from the pain of this world to the Rainbow” and has left her pawprints in your heart.
    I’m sorry that she was in the condition she was in when you found her, but I am glad that you got the closure of finding her. As painful as this is, not knowing can be worse.
    We’d like for them to leave in our arms, surrounded by our love. Their ways are different, though.

    She is young and strong and healthy now, and Hissy no longer needs to hiss. She will wait for you in the Meadow.

    Up at the Bridge,

    Mama Cat and the Kitten Pack are taking a walk through the Meadow. Mama Cat waits patiently as a kitten or two stops every now and then to nibble at the gorgeous grass. The other kittens take advantage of the break to tumble all over each other.
    Not far away, a beautiful, sleek Siamese cat is walking toward them. Suddenly, four little heads pop up. “Mama! Mama!” the kittens squeal and run as fast as their little legs will carry them toward the Siamese. These are the kittens from Ms. Hissy’s final litter, the ones to whom she was unable to give birth. They have been part of the Kitten Pack with the Wolf watching over them. Mama Cat lets them go, knowing they are now with the mother to whom they belong.
    The kittens roll all over Ms. Hissy, and she catches each one in turn for a bath. She had a lot of experience with this before her human, Susie, took her to a doctor to free her from going into heat and producing litter after litter. Now, though, there is no pain or hardship; the kittens are a pure joy.
    After all have had a bath, they lie down beside Ms. Hissy, who rolls over onto her side and rests her head on her paws. The kittens snuggle into their mother’s chest and belly. They don’t need to nurse, but being close to their mother is so nice. Soon they all fall asleep for their first nap with her.
    Mama Cat and the Kitten Pack pass by. Mama Cat gives Ms. Hissy a loving look. “They were in the arms of the angels,” she says, “being comforted every moment until you arrived.”
